The release date for The Squad Pack DLC for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham has been announced to be available on March 3rd. Characters that will be included in the DLC are Captain Boomerang, Amanda Waller, Deathstroke, King Shark, El Diablo, Katana, Deadshot, and Harley Quinn. The Squad Pack is the last DLC in the Season Pass which also includes Man of Steel, Dark Knight, Batman 75th, Arrow, and Bizarro World. You can also purchase the DLC seperately for $2.99. There’s still one more DLC available which will be free called the Heroines & Villainesses Pack but there hasn’t been a release date for it yet. Characters that will be included in that one are Raven, Starfire, Plastique, Terra, Vixen, Killer Frost, and Powergirl. In The Squad add-on content pack, a mysterious figure has infiltrated Belle Reve Penitentiary, and it’s up to players to smash their way through the prison as Deadshot, Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang and other members of The Squad to hunt down this infiltrator before Amanda Waller’s—and The Squad’s—secrets are uncovered.
Everything is Awesome About LEGO's Batman v Superman PosterWarner Bros. has announced the latest downloadable content pack for “LEGO Batman 3” — and given the recent announcement of the “Suicide Squad” movie cast, it’s certainly topical. “The Squad” is the latest DLC pack for the “LEGO Batman” game, and includes a new scenario that sees a mysterious figure infiltrating Belle Reve Penitentiary, as players take on Squad members Deadshot, Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, El Diablo, Amanda Waller and more to hunt down the intruder. The downloadable content is available as part of the “LEGO Batman 3” season pass for $14.99 — which includes five other DLC packs such as “Arrow” and “Man of Steel” — or as a standalone piece of content for $2.99. “The Squad” DLC is expected to launch in 2015. “The Squad” photos are the second bit of new content Warner Bros. has released for “LEGO Batman 3” DLC this month, with new “Arrow” and “Bizarro World” details released in early December.

What they should really be doing is bundling their DLC with Minifigs and selling it in stores. If folks want to spend $2.99 apiece only for the six promised packs, then more power to them. And I suppose saving three dollars by pre-purchasing the promise of DLC is an okay option as well.
But if I were in charge of a company that had access to the awesome combination of LEGO and DC Comics characters, I'd be putting toys on store shelves. Take a look at the first three DLC packs announced for the game, including a rather dark bit of Superman story where you've got to keep General Zod from killing a baby.
