Blue Beetle is a Super Heroes minifigure who appears in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. He also appears in physical form in the summer 2016 set 76054 Batman: Scarecrow Harvest Of Fear. Blue Beetle has a black head with some blue detailing on it and a confident expression. He uses the Alien Mosquitoid wings in clear, and has a new armor piece that fits over it and includes the secondary wings on the back. His torso and legs continue the blue-on-black patterning of his armor, and his legs are dual-molded to include his blue boots. Jaime Reyes is a teenager with Mexican background. One day he found a robot blue scarab and took it home. That night, the scarab awoke and fused itself to Jaime's spine. Jaime soon discovered that the scarab could transform into a robotic armour with a jet pack, laser cannons, maces, shields, swords, hammers, a wormhole generator and other gadgets. Now he uses the armour to fight evil as a member of the Teen Titans. Blue Beetle appears as a main character in the second season of Young Justice, alongside Robin (Dick Grayson), Kid Flash, Miss Martian, and Superboy.
He becomes embroiled in the plot by the involvement of the Reach, the aliens who have given him his powers. Though temporarily enslaved by them, he regains control of his mind in time to fight off their invasion. Blue Beetle along with Reach Warrior and Captain Cold can be unlocked via free play, in the mission "A Blue Hope". After bonding with an alien scarab, teenager Jaime Reyes was transformed into Blue Beetle, a rookie super hero with lots to learn about battling super villains and saving the day. His indestructible armor gives him the ability to fly and generate an array of high-powered weapons and defenses. EditMinikit 1 Shoot five satellites. You can see one in the bottom right corner of the above screenshot. EditMinikit 2 Shoot down enemies until you're awarded with a missile. Collect the missile and search near the bottom of the screen for a silver asteroid. Blow it up for a Minikit. Shoot down the first wave of enemies and a tentacle will emerge from the ship you're flying around.
Hit it with two missiles to destroy it. Missiles are one of the power-ups downed enemy fighters drop. The pattern repeats twice more. Defeat a wave of enemies. EditMinikit 3 (Free Play) Don a Dive Suit or use Aquaman to retrieve the Minikit at the bottom of the pool of water near where you start. EditCharacter Token - Blue Beetle (Free Play) Use a Dive Suit or Aquaman to explore the lake to the right of the starting point. Smash the rock at the bottom and a chest will float to the surface. Stand on dry land and grapple the orange plug on the chest to open it. Grab the object inside and take it to Bat-Mite who is waiting near the starting point. EditMinikit 4 (Free Play) Fly up and land on the ledge high above the starting point and use Brainiac's shrink ray to shrink the shiny, black boulder to reveal a monster. Use an explosive attack on the silver horn on the monster's head to get him to vacate the premises. Charge up Robin's Illumination suit at the nearby station and light up the monster's cave to find a gold sphere.
Pop it open with a laser and you'll find a Minikit inside. EditMinikit 5 (Free Play) Charge Robin's Illumination Suit at the machine on the ledge high above the starting point. Drop down and head right until you reach the small lake. Light up the cave in the background and you'll discover a gold wall. Use a laser to cut a hole in the wall to get at the Minikit on the other side. EditMinikit 6 (Free Play) Use explosive attacks to destroy five silver flowers around the area. One is on the high ledge next to the Illumination Suit charger, one is on the side of a stone spire near the first vine bridge, one can be scene low on the cliff wall across the way after crossing the vine bridge, one is at the end of the area, right of where you find Saint Walker, and the last one is in the lower area underneath where you find Saint Walker where you find the Reach Warrior and Captain Cold Character Tokens. Beat up the bad guys then smash the pink flower for a few bricks. Interact with them to build a Flash Pad.
Position Flash on the pad and target the highlighted objects to build a wood chipper. The chipper will reveal a spot Martian Manhunter can use his Sensor Suit-like ability to detect a portal in the wall. Use the portal to reach a new area and laser the gold plate on the tentacle you find there. Head back out through the portal and run over to the monster. Use Manhunter's 'sense' ability again to detect a silver boulder above it. Destroy it with Cyborg's Demolition Suit to drop it on the monster's head and reveal a vine Cyborg and Flash can use to climb to the upper path. EditAdam West in Peril (Free Play) Stand on the upper ledge on the side of the cliff and target the black, sparkly rock with Brainiac's shrink ray. Jump down and head down the path to find the pile of bricks that were knocked down. Interact with the bricks to build a staircase for Adam. Use Cyborg's Demolition Suit to destroy the silver part of the ship that's in your way. Destroy the objects near the giant beetle and interact with the resulting bricks to build another Flash Pad.
Use the pad to build a Venus flytrap that will eat the bug. EditMinikit 7 Shoot down the three bugs above the Venus flytrap. Use Cyborg's Magnet Suit to feed each bug to the plant to earn a Minikit. Continue past the Venus flytrap and destroy the silver panel with Cyborg's Demolition Suit to find another portal. Switch back to Cyborg and have him use his Magnet Suit on the tentacle to move it out of Manhunter's way. He'll automatically move past once the path is clear. Switch back to Manhunter and laser the gold part of the tentacle to make it retreat. Continue on until you reach the giant bug holding the Blue Lantern, Saint Walker, hostage. Use Cyborg's Magnet Suit on the giant bug to free the Lantern. EditRed Brick - Adam West in Peril Detector (Free Play) Fire Brainiac's shrink ray at the boulder to the left of the creature that has Saint Walker. EditMinikit 8 Behind and to the left of the giant bug is a wall that Manhunter can smash through via his true form. Smash through, return to normal and climb the vine to a Minikit.
EditMinikit 9 Shoot down the three purple birds nested around the area where you find the giant bug. Two are to the left and one is to the right. EditMinikit 10 (Free Play) To the right of where Saint Walker is being menaced is a Swamp Spot. Have Solomon Grundy use it to dig up a watering machine. Stand on the button and the machine will water a flower. Bust the flower's gold bulb with a laser for the final Minikit. EditCharacter Token - Captain Cold (Free Play) Use a flying character to reach the area underneath Saint Walker and use magnet power to on the plant to get at the Character Token. EditCharacter Token - Reach Warrior (Free Play) Use a flying character to reach the area underneath Saint Walker and use Brainiac's shrink ray on the black, sparkly boulder. Behind it is a Toy Wonder Hatch. Switch to Robin's Techno Suit and send his Toy Wonder through to collect the Character Token. Use Manhunter's 'sense' to detect a mound of dirt. Switch to Saint Walker and have him dig up a few hopping bricks.
