I loved the first Lego Batman game so I was super excited to see that Lego was once again on good terms with the Bat and his friends.This article has been reproduced in a new format and may be missing content or contain faulty links. to report an issue. One of the charms of the previous Lego games was the way the characters communicated with grunts and groans, verses words. The subtitles on the screen and their body language were enough to keep you informed on the story and added a little extra humor to game. Unlike in the previous game, this time the characters communicate with actual words instead of sounds and body language. This is a pretty big change for Lego and even though it’s a little weird, it’s not a bad change. The story revolves around the usual Batman villains but with a surprise twist;
Lex Luthor teams up with the Joker in an effort to create a mind controlling gas and brain wash the citizens into voting him for President of the United States. Since you can’t have Lex with out Superman, the man of steel eventually shows up to help out the capped crusader. One of the things I love about this game is the wide range of characters you can play as. Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, the Flash and Cyborg join the party after Lex Luthor builds a robot to destroy not only the man of steel, but also Metropolis and Gotham City. They changed a little bit of the characters to fit the game and to make it a little harder to play. For instance, when Superman gets hit with kryptonite, he is unable to fly and it reduces his power levels. He is also no longer invulnerable to things like electricity. Lego worked around this by giving Batman and Robin special suits to handle the things the other characters can’t. For me, the only downside to the game was the split screen in two player mode.
When you and your partner are in the same area, the screen looks normal. The moment one of you runs off screen though, the weirdest split I’ve ever seen happens. It comes and goes based on where your character is and it rotates with your character. After about 15 minutes, I started to get a little motion sickness and I had to stop. Overall, I enjoy this game just as much as I enjoyed the first one. I like the split screen a lot better on Lego Batman and I enjoy the the variety of characters I get to play in Lego Batman 2. Of course, I’m also enjoying the great toys that Lego is releasing to go along with the game. I still have a ways to to go before I beat the game and I’m looking forward to seeing how this one ends. Lego Batman 2: DC Super heroes is available for select consoles. Please try the followingEnsure that the Sensor Bar cord is plugged to the back of the console, and is placed properly at the center of your TV screen. For detailed directions on setting up the Sensor Bar, please click here. Check to be sure the Wii Remote is synced to the console, by using the Power button on the Wii Remote to turn the console on. (The Power button is the small white button with the red symbol in the top-left corner of the Wii Remote.) If this doesn't work, try to sync the Wii Remote. Once synced, try to turn the power on the console and check for proper response. Make sure that the Wii Remote is being used between 3 and 10 feet (1 to 3 metres) directly in front of the TV and that there are no bright light sources affecting the Wii Remote's operation, and that the Sensor Bar is placed properly (see Sensor Bar setup). Avoid sources of infrared light in the gameplay area such as electric, propane or kerosene heaters, flames from fireplaces or candles, and stoves or other sources of heat.
If you are still experiencing problems after trying the steps above, there could be a problem with your Sensor Bar. Please read the following:The Sensor Bar has five infrared lights on each side of the bar that the Wii Remote uses to determine its position. If these lights aren't working, then the Wii Remote cursor will not display on the screen, and you won't be able to navigate the setup screens.To see these lights, you will need a digital camera or cell phone camera with an LCD display. After making sure the Sensor Bar is plugged in and the power to the console turned on, direct the camera at the Sensor Bar so that it is displayed in the LCD of the camera. If the five infrared lights can be seen on both sides of the Sensor Bar, the Sensor Bar is working. While the position/angle of the camera may need to be adjusted slightly, the lights are fairly easy to see in the LCD display.If the lights don't display, or if they do but you still can't get the Wii Remote cursor to display on the screen, then please contact Nintendo Consumer Service after you are finished (even if you were unable to perform this check).
