The LEGO Batman Movie Game is a third person running based game. You control Batman as he runs through different levels. You first thing in mind is to avoid hitting the obstacles because the run will end. Your next thing to keep in mind is to fight the bosses at the end of each level to progress with the game. In most levels you will be running in third person in a vertical manner. The thing that you have to watch out for are the obstacles because hitting or crashing through them will cause the level to end. In terms of running you can use it to avoid these obstacles. Just swipe to the left or right to avoid hitting them. You can also jump to avoid these obstacles.
There are some times when the road is fully blocked so you need to jump instead of running to the side. You’re basically doing the same thing but instead you’re riding a vehicle. In these cases you usually have more ammo to spare but you normally can’t jump. Just hone up your reflexes and swipe to the left or right and use your ammo only when you have to. Like most boss battles you need to know the pattern.
The good thing is that if the boss is preparing to do a special move, you will see patterns on the ground as to where their attack will hit. Your job is to avoid getting hit and then hit them back when you have the opportunity to do so. Just remember some bosses can take more hits than others and some have different varieties to their styles and attacking patterns. You can collect currencies during your runs. If you want to collect more then just replay levels that you already finished for more currencies. Unlocking content can be limited to costumes and aesthetic items in the process.
