It's important to ensure that your device's software is up-to-date. If you aren't sure how to update your phone's software, we recommend visiting your device manufacturer's website, or the Android Help Center. If you are unsure of the manufacturer of your device, or would like to find information specifically about your device, you can find it visually and select it from this list to be provided the information you're looking for and more.Once you have made sure your device is up-to-date, check to make sure that your app is up-to-date. To do this, go to the Google Play Store, and then go to the "My Apps" section. Any items which have new versions available will say "Update Available."NOTE: You can also set apps to update automatically whenever a new version is made available by selecting "Allow automatic updating" on the app's details page in Google Play to maintain the most current version of your app.If your issue is affecting only a single app on your device, please try closing down just that app, and then restarting it.

To fully-close an app, go to your App Settings, found in most Android versions in your System Settings, and "stop" the afflicted App with the "Force Stop" button. Wait a few seconds to make sure the App has stopped processing, and then attempt to re-start it.It is possible that your issue is a result of one or more other apps running "in the background" on your device, meaning they are being processed simultaneously with the App at hand. In this case you might have to Force Stop or close these applications rather than--or as well as--the App you're attempting to access.NOTE: This process can be handled automatically by App Management programs such as "Task-Managers" or "Task-Killers."  A number of these Apps are available on the Google Play Store and could go a long way in helping--and also hurting, if one is reckless--streamline this process and alleviate issues.Problems may continue on your phone due to unavailable memory, system stress, or any number of problems. Powercycling might resolve it.

Powercycling means a full shut-off of your phone and then a restart. "Powering off" on many Android devices will leave some data and apps in a limbo-state in order to quickly boot your system upon restart, while a full powercycle prohibits this.If problems continue following troubleshooting, ensure your problems aren't stemming from an incorrectly synced App. Use the following steps to clear your cache. Only do this if your account is linked to Origin or Facebook. To make sure you're synced properly, first clear the Play Store's cache on your phone by again going to your App Settings, potentially called "Apps" in your System Settings, select the problem-App, and then select "Clear Cache," to clear the app of its temporary, or saved, files.NOTE: Selecting "Clear Data" could potentially delete apps, permissions, logins, or more and is not suggested. Accidental use of the "Clear Data" button will result in a warning dictating, "All this app's data will be deleted permanently. This includes all files, settings, accounts, databases, etc."

If problems persist, attempt to clear the Play Store's cache on your phone by again going to your App Settings, potentially called "Apps" in your System Settings, selecting "Google Play Store," and select "Clear Cache," to clear the app of its temporary, or saved, files. The above NOTE is even more important here; Following either or both of these steps, it is always a good idea to restart, or even powercycle, your phone. If all else fails, reinstall your App.This step may cause loss of game progress. However, you can take steps to help reduce the chances of this occurring:Performing these steps does not guarantee that data loss will not occur and does not guarantee the recoverability of your account. These steps will only reduce the chance for data loss and, in some cases, the data may be recoverable. If you continue to have problems with your EA App after following all of the steps listed above, contact us to reach one of our EA Advisors. Why are my legs always freezing cold? QUESTION: I NEED some advice about my circulation problem. My legs are always very cold. Is there some medicine I can take that will help? Actress and singer Marianne Faithfull suffers from poor circulation [] Cold legs can be caused by poor circulation in the blood vessels. However, there could be another cause. I would want to check if you had an underactive thyroid, diabetes or anaemia, so if you haven’t already done so please make an appointment at your surgery. Poor circulation in the legs is usually due to narrowing of the arteries by fatty deposits (atherosclerosis), which build up over many years. This is usually due to a combination of risk factors such as smoking, a high cholesterol level, high blood pressure or lack of exercise. You should make sure you take any medication you have been given to control these such as statins or pills for high blood pressure. It is also extremely important you stop smoking. The best treatment for poor blood supply in the legs is exercise, especially walking.

This has been shown to enlarge the small blood vessels in the legs and improve blood flow. Ideally you need to walk every day for at least half an hour, preferably more. If you find walking fast gives you pain in your calf muscles, stop for a few minutes then carry on. The pain will not damage the leg muscles and the more you walk the longer you will be able to go before you get pain. Two drugs doctors often use to try and improve blood flow in the leg arteries are naftidrofuryl and cilostazol. Drugs that make the blood less sticky, such as clopidogrel, may also be given. If your legs and feet are very cold and you are unable to walk far without pain, surgery may be a better option. This usually involves widening affected arteries using a special balloon – an angioplasty procedure. In the meantime make sure you wear warm clothing on your legs and don’t wear socks that are tight below your knee as this will constrict the blood flow further. You should also take good care of your feet and toe nails and wear warm boots that give your toes plenty of wriggling room.

QUESTION: I have a bony nodule on my forehead. It seemed to appear overnight and is about the size of a pea. It is unsightly but not painful. My GP told me to leave it alone but can I get it removed? ANSWER: If your GP does not think it is dangerous in any way, it could be classified as a cosmetic problem and this means getting it removed on the NHS could be difficult. Some GPs are willing to do minor surgery and if it is really bothering you it may be possible to get a referral to a “lumps and bumps” minor surgery clinic at a local hospital. If not you could consider having it removed privately but do get your GP’s advice on this beforehand as you may need to see a dermatologist rather than surgeon. QUESTION: For almost a year I have been trying to find a remedy for my itchy, red and sore scalp. I can see lots of tiny white flakes and there is hair loss. A trichologist diagnosed neurodermatitis and said this can be caused by poor diet or just by using perfumed products.

How can I keep it under control? ANSWER: Neurodermatitis is another term for itchy skin. There are two main reasons for it on the scalp. The first is eczema and the second is an overgrowth of the fungi that normally live on the skin and which lead to dandruff. Both can cause ha ir loss if they are severe, especially if you scratch your scalp as this can traumatise the hair follicles. Dandruff can usually be cleared by shampoo containing the anti-fungal agent ketoconazole but this can take several weeks in severe cases. Eczema can be triggered by allergy to hair products, especially dyes, so try using gentle products designed for sensitive skin. Stress certainly doesn’t help and nor does a poor diet but I doubt either of them is the main underlying cause. Scalp eczema can usually be cleared by a special steroid scalp lotion – available on prescription. Make an appointment at the surgery as soon as you can.
