The requested URL /forums/showthread.php?t=3031751 was not found on this server.The 9/29/15 Mortal Kombat X PC update introduced an updated save system, changing the naming convention for MKX save files. “MK10PSET” save data will now be named “MK10PSET_%TIMECODE%.save” MK10PSET_2015-09-15_16.save (meaning 15th of September 2015, hour 16) MK10PSET_2015-09-15_17.save (meaning 15th of September 2015, hour 17) The new system will create a backup of save data approximately every hour, creating and storing up to 10 save files. By default this save location will be: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\\307780\remote\user\" If the game detects that the save data is corrupted it will check for the last existing and undamaged save file and load it instead. You should see an in-game message if this occurs. To manually recover from a corrupt save, you should revert to the previous save by removing the save file with the latest timestamp. After you have done this, if the Steam Cloud feature is enabled, you will have to choose to 'UPLOAD TO THE STEAM CLOUD' on the Cloud Sync Conflict prompt that will likely be displayed when booting the game.
This is done in order to prevent storing a blank or otherwise damaged save file in the Cloud. If a damaged save file is uploaded to Steam Cloud storage, the best solution will be to: Go to your game Library, right-click Mortal Kombat X, and select properties Click the Updates Tab and uncheck "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization" at the bottom Go to your Steam install directory, “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\\307780\remote\user\" by default, and remove the save data with the latest timestamp. Start the game and play for an hour or so to create a new save file. Enable the Steam Cloud synchronization (Step 2 above), then restart the game and choose to 'UPLOAD TO THE STEAM CLOUD' on the Cloud Sync Conflict prompt.
