Someone even created the Tumbler and flying Bat from The Dark Knight Rises but this Batman themed creation has topped them all. Prepare to be amazed at Carlyle Livingston II and Wayne Hussey’s recreation of the Batcave.
It’s even built into a Lego wall to reinforce the underground feel of Batman’s secret headquarters. The Batcave is made up of over 20,000 Lego parts which weigh in at over 100 pounds. It took a lot of time and patience to create too, the duo spent more than 800 hours over a twelve week period building the Batcave. It’s not just great to look at though, the team took it a step further and built in motors to make certain objects move. One of the walls flips round so Batman and Robin can choose a suit from one side and their weapons/gadgets of choice from the other, the Batmobile rotates round and the Bat Plane can also be lifted up and down to prepare it for lift off or rest it back down. The entire cave is also lit up using LEDs inside Lego lamps that hang from the ceiling. A lot of the vehicles were built from already existing Lego Batman sets that were adjusted to look how Carlyle and Wayne wanted them to but some are also their own designs entirely, so everything has a unique feel despite also being a great replica of the Batcave we all know and love.
The level of detail gone into the roof of the cave is especially impressive, sloped bricks make the roof look rocky, making it look like an actual cavern. There are even bats hanging from the ceiling. The Bat Computer in the corner of the cave has several computer screens and the images on them were created in Photo-shop and then made into stickers. Every part about this Batcave is amazing, highly detailed and it’s easy to see a lot of Batlove has gone into it. This is the first collaborative project between Wayne and Carlyle and they apparently already have several more ideas of what they want to do next. The Batcave will be hard to top but personally I can’t wait to see what they create next.
