Every ingredient considered gold-standard in the furniture industry today is what we consistently offer. We�re a company that builds 95% of our line here in the United States according to time honored North Carolina methods. We use solid hardwood frames. This is important to guarantee stability over time; they will not warp, crack or twist. Sinuous spring systems consist of heavy-gauge steel wires formed in continuous, vertical S-shaped coils. The springs are attached to the frame with padded clips and fasteners and supported with horizontal metal tie rods. This type of �no sag� construction takes less labor and is more economical to produce than an 8-way hand-tied spring suspension, but has proven over the past thirty years to provide a comfortable �sit� plus be very durable and good quality. You sit on a cushion that is basically a foam cushion core with a wrap around it. Our foam is core is a 1.9 density HR foam cushion with a dacron wrap. If more luxury is your cup of tea, go ahead and spoil yourself with our down blend seat cushions that feature a medium firm �Ultra-cell� poly-urethane core.
Each seat core is then surrounded with a duvet wrap containing a plush combination of goose down, feathers, and poly ticking. Our down upgraded seats give each piece a more poofy, crested look that is the hallmark of finer furniture. Best of all our down upgraded seats will not divot or separate. Our reasonably priced down feather wrapped seat cushions are available on all our leather styles. The tailoring of our leather pieces is done by seasoned domestic craftspeople who take pride in their work. We never use anything but top grain leather; When the outer skin of a cow is used, the leather industry calls the hide �top grain�. It is considered to be desirable. The other layers of skin are referred to as "split hides" and are not as well graded. Fine furniture manufacturers always use top grain for upholstery because it is the strongest and most durable part of the hide, yet is soft and supple. In fact, top grain becomes more supple over time and that is why you will continue to love your Club Furniture for years!
