Im short so I would have keep a good grip on the floor with my foot. I never sat in it. Now that its worn, sliding off is no longer a problem but you seem to take the coloring with you. They have a great benefits package for full time employees. The worse thing about the Benefits package offer at Lazboy corporate ran stores is that only the Managers and designer, "the top four" get them. All other employees, are given minimal hourly rate and not able to participate. The vacations are paid at base rate. Ex: You have earned four weeks vacation (have been there longer than five years), you can take it but you will only get your $400 base and not enough to go or do anything. All other times off are allowed but you don't get paid. There is no sick days paid. They only match pennies to a dollar for their 401k. The insurance is through BCBS. They offer bronze and gold packages. The dental insurance is pricey, but it is actually worth it. Copay is only $25 and that covered several fillings that I had done. They do offer paid sick leave, but it only kicks in after your third day absent. And, be prepared to face repercussions if you actually use sick leave. Vacation time is paid.
After a year, we get a week. We also get employee pricing on goods (cost plus 10% then freight...watch out, they try to make money off of the "freight" charge). We get paid holidays (we still work, we just get about $40 extra for working 13 hours). For partime there is a negotiation vacation The manager consider well but prefer to work on weekends. Good coworkers ,managers, good training.but sale associate rather than design assistant ..and no commission of those furniture?:( as soon as I find another job Ill move on.it is not enough for cost of living They do offer 2 weeks vacation and 6 PTO days and you don't have to wait a whole year to start using your vacation. The worst thing is that they don't offer any bonuses at the end of the year or health insurance. Health insurance is poor. Perks are virtually unattainable and few. Discount is 10% after 6 months. Good thing was paid vacation. Healthcare benefits are good but vacation and time off is very limited. Work every weekend and every holiday weekend, Comprehensive benefits package with BCBS.
