Best Office Chair I've Ever Owned|So far so good!|I just purchased this La-Z-Boy® 45782 Trafford Big & Tall Executive Bonded Leather Office Chair - Vino (Brown) for my husband since he was going to start working from home. The chair is very nice over all. We both sit in it comfortably and the arm height is perfect for both of us (this was one of our concerns). The "Tilt" is the back AND the seat together which my husband rather likes because you don't slide forward when you want to lean back. The angle is just enough to be comfortable and not feel like you're falling off or laying down. My husband is 6 ft tall and the head rest is in a natural position to lean your head back vs leaning your head on the rest and your neck is still straight rather than leaning back a little.
So far it's nice and cushiony (I guess?) and pleasant to sit in but we just received it today. The bonded leather is also in great condition and there is no chemical smell that one might expect. The controls are foward of the arm, which is nice because I don't have to reach under the chair to find the controls.So on to the cons. There are these little clips that hold the wires for the controls. The rings of one were completely broken off. It's a small thing I know and there appear to be no imminent dangers of anything cutting the wire on accident. But for $520, I don't want anything broke when it's supposed to be new, especially from a La-Z-Boy brand. We could have gone for a lesser brand or product, sure, but we wanted to get something that will last. The only other con is the packaging in which the product arrived in. The bottom of the package was only held together by a single piece of tap that went the width of the box and no tap that held the folds together for the length of the seam.
Don't get me wrong - there was tape there, however, the way the packaging of the shipping box and the parts inside looked, it looked like a returned item that was reshipped to us after we made a purchase. All parts were accounted for amazingly.
