It emitted no 'off gasses' you hear about with other memory foam beds and the pricing was in alignment with others. A note about the foundation... we thought our slatted foundation was good enough but once we replaced it OMG, the Essentia bed was even better! Do make sure you have the proper foundation and that it provides sturdy support. My back is happy and although the bed is firmer than I've had previously, it's way more comfy... I don't want to get out of bed in the morning. One more note, the bed actually feels much larger because you can comfortably sleep on the edge during hot summer nights when you want some distance between you and your hot partner.
