As with many things in life, a confluence of events occurred In 2009: I got married, bought a house and started Damn Good Doormats. When the new hubby & I went looking for our first doormat, he quipped that I should just make my own & so I did! After many years of making, long before the Craft Revolution and the Internet, I finally found my dream item. Drawing from my love of design, film and humor, ideas flow so freely, I can't make them all! he Hubby has quit his day job to work in the doormat mines!* He has taken over most of the heavy lifting. There is a lot of that involved! From prepping the mats (at 4-10 lbs each he can move 2000 lbs of coco in a day!) to making boxes and packing up the days shipments- I don't know how I've been doing it all by myself!
