Available in solid hard maple wood like the original Shaker Chairs or go with a different look in cherry or oak wood.

Order the dining chair stained, with a natural wood and clear conversion varnish, with Tung oil, with a two tone stain and paint combination or straight paint.  Shaker furniture is know for being simple in design but Shakers were historically know for using vibrant and even wild use of colors in their furniture.  You could expect to see Shaker chairs in red, yellow, orange, greens, blues and even purple!  Call to receive wood finish samples in the mail to help you make your selection. After you select your wood and finish you can then decide if you would like to order a light or heavy distressed technique.  This option will give your new Shaker Chairs an aged and antique furniture look.  Many of our customers can't afford antique Shaker chairs so they choose to order a DutchCrafters Shaker Chair and transform it into a antique Shaker chair by having it distressed. This Shaker Chair comes with a choice of a molded wood seat, upholstered seat with fabric or leather or our popular fiber seat.

The Hand-woven Fiber Seat is similar to a rush woven seat style but much more friendly on your clothing. Four slightly curved slats on the tilt back of the chair which emphasizes the 43 ½” height of this chair. Choose from our standard traditional, round finial or a more contemporary button finial. The button finial shortens the height by 3 ¼” and offers a more contemporary look. All chair joints are glued for added strength and durability over the years of use. Round, straight and simple tenon chair legs highlight the Shaker Ladderback Chair.  The chair legs are screwed for stength. This Shaker furniture is handcrafted in Pennsylvania, USA only using 100% solid hardwoods. This Amish chair is handcrafted for each customer, which allows us to offer so many customization options. Steam bent chair parts are using in the construction of our dining room chairs. Corner block construction is used to anchor the seat to the rest of the chair. Mortise and tenon joinery is used in the construction of this Shaker Chair.

No Assembly is required for this chair. Choose from a side chair or arm chair. This Shaker Ladderback Dining Chair is handcrafted in the USA – part of our Lancaster Chair Collection. DutchCrafters Shaker chairs are highly popular and nicely compliment the many Shaker tables and Shaker hutches that we offer. Comfortable, durable and simply gorgeous - these Ladderback dining chairs will be a treasure for your family for years to come!  Grace your dining room with a set of these gorgeous Shaker Ladderback Chairs today, and your family will appreciate them for generations! Wicker and Cane Care Regular cleaning of cane and wicker furniture is essential for lasting durability. The key idea is to be gentle: Martha likes to add just a small amount of detergent or oil soap to a bucket of warm water, then dunk a soft-bristled brush into the solution and carefully brush it over the piece. The chair should then be dried off with a soft cotton cloth (such as an old dish towel).
