Yes, a percentage of the mattress’ foam (about 22%) is made from soybeans, which replaces some of the typical petrochemical foams found in other inexpensive mattresses. As you can see below, the green foam soybean core is surrounded by two layers of padding and covered in a vinyl laminate.
The cover is made with a vinyl laminate that is phthalate-free and it doesn’t use any toxic fire retardants. The Sealy Soybean Foam-Core is GreenGuard certified and made in America.
