The staff and management of the hotel did a fantastic job. The rooms were excellent and the choice of foods greatly appreciated by our group. The nightlife and casino options were also a huge bonus given that some like to stay up a little later. Frederico and his staff in the Brazilian restaurant did an awesome job executing our farewell dinner.Overall a very good resort with staff and amenities to match.A great experience was had by all. 22,397 reviews sorted by: The staff is getting English classes, so they understand more, the Spa is amazing as always, the rooms, big, clean, and beautiful, but because the Hotel was almost full, we felt the food was not up to par in some restaurants. There are some special staff, make sure when you go to the beach see Melania, i would not let anyone else serve me as she is warm, friendly and so personable, you will want to take her home, also see Yoel at the beach and pool , he is in charge of sports, games, and shows , and you will not believe how talented and special he is until you spend a few minutes talking to him

Karen in the Spa reception is such a delight, make sure you ask for her, special lady and always helpful, and last but not least Chris in members services, worked like a dog, to make sure everything was perfect, and did a splendid job. Room Tip: The higher the better, ask for a pool view or ocean view, but does not matter, there are not too man... The pools, beaches, and rooms were beautiful. That is about all the good things I can say about the Hard Rock. The food was horrible. I could not chew my meat as it was too tough. We had no running water for a WHOLE DAY. Could not go to the bathroom, could not shower for dinner after being at the beach and in the pool. We had to order 10 large waters to the room and that is how we had to shower. They were not apologetic AT ALL. I think that is just unsanitary and disgusting.
I have never been to a resort and had no water for a day. Not to mention we paid a fortune to come on this trip. The front desk staff was beyond rude. Not a friendly staff as they should be. The night life was very fun for both kids and adults. After our experience, I would definitely not recommend anyone to go there. If you are looking for an all-inclusive resort with good food and service, this is not the place. The grounds are not even as glamorous as they make it seem on the website. Reconsider if you are thinking of planning a trip here. This was THE BEST hotel I have ever been to. The food was great; although I didn't enjoy the Mexicaan food but thats because i just dont like Mexican food altogether. The maids cleaned the room while I was out either at the beach or main lobby. When I came back the rooms were all nice and clean and there was a swan made out of a towel on the table. The service was GREAT. The hotel is pretty large which was really cool cause you can rent bikes and rock climb.
Now, the best part of the hotel was the Entertainment Staff, especially "Jamaica Man" Rolando and Yoel. They were SO funny and i was always at the SunBar at 9 to dance with them. It was amazing and I discovered on the last day Rolando was also at a pool in the morning from 10 and i was upset i didnt know about this in the beginning. He as really fun and taught me and a bunch of other people how to dance. I would 1000000000000000000000000000% stay in this hotel again. It was really sad when i said goodbye to "Jamaica Man" and Yoel because we became such good friends :'( this is the best hotel ever, and Im leaving "Jamaica Man" Rolando and Yoel an amazing review. Room Tip: If you like the beach and pools and are going to be there from the morning like all day, the "A... I think the issue is the local people running this resort just doesn't get it. When we arrived our room didn't have a/c. We called and finally after several hours and several phone calls someone came and "fixed" it yet when cold air still wasn't blowing out they could not comprehend why we wouldn't stay in the room.
We were moved 3 times to finally get a king size bed and that was in the first day. We insisted they give us something for the trouble and they gave us a free massage reluctantly. If you eat at the restaurants expect cold food. only order what is at the grill prepared in front of you. Romantic lobster dinner was the best meal--the champagne and steak was awesome. the spa was wonderful so take our time and enjoy yourself there. Unless you speak spanish it is difficult to interact with the staff. We spent a whole day without water in the resort. I think that may have been a one-off thing but not sure. not having water was terribly inconvenient when we tried to get to our wedding. My husband showered with a bottle of water. Once he asked for a fork and a waiter took a fork from another table at a reception and wiped it off with the tablecloth. The very last day i went for a run on the beach, which is gorgeous but someone had been confronted by 3 thugs who shot at him!!! I actually saw the guy after the incident happened and he was trying to tell the hotel people what had happened but they really weren't trying to help him in fact they looked at him suspiciously and he was freaking out trying to get them to listen to what he was saying.
The resort is huge with long distances to the pools, beach and restaurants.The restaurants have pleasant, yet not well trained wait staff. The Italian restaurant brought appetizers, salads and entrees all at the same time. It was also extremely loud, so loud that we could not hear each other during dinner.Fortunately, our departure day was the same day where the resort did not have running water. Toilets were full and our friend had to use the beverages in the bar fridge to flush their toilet! We didn't get to shower on our departure day. Everyone was using the ocean as a toilet (hate to swim in the pools....)Would never stay here again and certainly will not recommend to others. When on a Caribean vacation, understand that cultures vary, expect stuffy perfection and you will be a bit unenchanted - but then the Caribean is about relaxing an having fun!The Hard Rock has brought a very young and hip vibe to the Palace Resorts and Punta Cana hits a good mark on my playlist!One can see early on that like any large hotel some things and some staff are not perfect, but when catering to a clientelle of 1500 plus, the secluded quiet pools and staff do a great job catering to all.
