If you wish to receive a quote based on your stay, please contact us.Former sheriff’s quarters bedroom is now a comfortable guest room with a queen-size four poster bed. Natural morning sun warms the two wing back chair seating area in this room. The bathroom boasts a step-in tile shower. Sheriff H. C. Gullickson (circa 1869-1872)* Formerly the room used by the Sheriff’s family. Today the queen-size walnut accented bedroom set and two wing back chair seating provide a pleasant setting with a yard view. A single whirlpool tub bath and shower provide a relaxing room to enjoy “time in jail.” Sheriff Ole Allen (circa 1879-1880)* A sunny morning exposure to this former Sheriff’s living quarters room provides a bright and refreshing stay. The “cottage style” furniture set (adapted to queen size bed) dating to 1842 lends a nostalgic element to the room. The Sun room bathroom has a step-in tile shower. The upholstered settee makes into a twin bed giving the room the flexibility of adding a third person.

Sheriff Samuel A. Langum (circa 1919-1927)* Being detained in this room gives direct access to the upstairs sun porch with rocking chairs and market umbrellas in order to contemplate incarceration as a true detainee. The single whirlpool tub bath with shower compliments the spacious room with a queen bed, wing back chair and upholstered settee seating area. The settee may be made into a twin bed to provide for one additional detainee. Sheriff E. D. Blexrud (circa 1896-1919)* The Amish guest room is situated where a former jail cell block once stood. Today the Amish room opens onto the upstairs sun porch where old fashioned rocking chairs and market umbrellas await. Bathing in the Amish room’s “copper bathtub” is a great way to slow down, relax and rejuvenate. Seating in the Amish room is a wing back chair, chamber chair and games table with side chairs. Sheriff B. C. Christenson (circa 1919-1927)* Formerly the “drunk tank,” this guest room treats present day guests to a king-size bed, sofa seating and two wing back chairs providing a spacious setting to relax and “dry out.”

The bathroom has the original sheriff’s bedroom elongated claw foot tub with shower-wand faucet. The room features a private entrance through the downstairs covered porch with rocking chairs enhancing “mosquito free” evenings. Sheriff Victor Wubbels (circa 1941-1947)* As the former “sheriff’s bedroom,” this spacious guest room features a boudoir wood burning fireplace niche housing two wing back chairs. An eight foot high queen-size bed with a walnut head board and “fill from the side” 1,000 lb. china tub sets a tone of nostalgia and relaxation in the “master bedroom.” A tailored oriental motif with eastlake furnishings (adapted to queen size bed) and two wing back chairs adjacent to a marble fireplace sets this room in the victorian era. The guest bathroom features a claw foot bathtub with shower-wand faucet. Three windows overlook onto the courtyard with tables and market umbrellas. Sheriff Henry Nupson (circa 1886-1895)* A tailored Victorian motif with eastlake furnishings and two wing back chairs by the fireplace creates a cozy feeling in this room.

This guest room enjoys private entrance through the courtyard with tables and market umbrellas making your room access convenient and enjoyable. Sheriff Neil S. Haugerud (circa 1959-1967)* The real thing…”sleeping behind bars” in our circa 1906 four jail-cell “cell block” suite. Sleeping for two, three, four or five friendly inmates in two queen-size beds and one twin bed in semi private jail cells provide a real sense of incarceration. Two wing back chairs and a color television with jail related videos help set the tone for a “slumbering in the slammer” experience. A bathroom with some original equipment and additional amenities such as a two-person whirlpool and step-thru shower keep you from wanting to “escape.” Sheriff Donald C. Cook (circa 1947-1959)* The original court room and former sheriff’s office have been transformed into a spacious ground level suite with “king-size” sleigh bed accommodations and private entrance from a brick courtyard with tables and market umbrellas.

The court room bath features a two person whirlpool and shower making your time in court before sentencing comfortable and enjoyable. Sheriff Carl Fann (circa 1967-1978)* Part of the former upstairs jail area has been transformed into a spacious, private suite with a king-size bed and in-room two person whirlpool in view of the wood burning fireplace. The Bridal Suite step thru shower makes your special time together comfortable and enjoyable. Chaise lounge seating and two wing back chairs adds to the spaciousness of the suite. Sheriff Knute Inglebret (circa 1927-1941)* *The Jailhouse Historic Inn is a twelve guest room country inn where guest room names commemorate the service of one of the twelve (12) Sheriff’s serving Fillmore county as sheriff during the period of time when the building housed the jail, the sheriff’s living quarters, sheriff’s office and courtroom.
