Booked this room last minute through Priceline and the front desk actually apologized at our late arrival that there were no more rooms with double beds. We received a suite with a wonderful large tiled jacuzzin and a comfy king size bed. It felt like we won the lottery room for the night and the jacuzzi was large and worked beautifully. Worth the $119 shelf price, and a steal at our ~$60 price line total cost! Very accommodating front desk, comfortable room, and adequate breakfast. 270 reviews sorted by: We stayed at this BW in August, 2011. There were four of us family members taking a trip to King's Dominion. The price for the hotel was a good deal - 71.99 per night for a suite with a "full kitchen" & two queen-sized beds.

In order to guarantee the rate, it was necessary to pre-pay for the room.I called the day before we were to arrive to confirm the reservation. However, when I arrived I was told that they were no suites available with two queen-sized beds. Again - I had prepaid for the room that I had been told was available when I had paid - now there were suddenly none available. We were instead given a suite with one king-sized bed and one sofa bed. I say "given" and not "offered" since according to the property's rules, it was too late to cancel and get a refund. I was assured that this room would have more space than the one I'd reserved (probably because there was a sofa bed instead of a queen-sized bed there). The room was indeed very spacious. Nevertheless, we had not planned on making up a sofa bed every night. The kitchen contained a full-sized refrigerator, a small microwave, a range with 2 burners, and no cooking utensils whatsoever. There were several cabinets with nothing in them. I was told that if we wanted to use their cooking utensils there would be a $20 fee.

This was a first for me; in the past when we'd stayed on a property that had a kitchen, they would supply utensils with pots and pans in that kitchen. In the evening, we discovered that we did not have enough towels in the bathroom. We went down to the front desk to get more. The next evening, there were no towels in the room at all, and again we had to go to the front desk to get towels. The complimentary breakfast was smaller than most I'd seen. There was sausage, eggs, breads, cereal, and a line for the waffle maker. The room itself was clean. It had a flat-screen TV which worked well with the satellite service. The weather was good while we were there, so there were no issues with reception. Although they were obviously short-staffed, the customer service was professional and friendly. The housekeeping staff, however, knocked on the door several times while we were still in the room, between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. We did not need to leave the room until around 10:30 am, but they seemed to have other plans for us.

When we went to make up the sofa bed, it was covered with plastic. Since it was already about 100 degrees outside, the plastic made the bed feel warmer, even with the ac on.If you're traveling alone, this hotel would do fine and you could save a little money. However, I would not recommend it for someone traveling with family. Being in a room with amenities different than what we'd paid to reserve and having to get our own towels every night was an inconvenience. A smaller Best Western hotel than most but the price just couldn't be beat!! Less than $70 for an overnight on a weekend with the AAA rate??! Traveling to the sunny south and stayed here for one night. Free upgrade with Best Western rewards membership. The room was great with a refrig, microwave, etc. and an awesome comfortable bed! Huge room at such a bargain price! Plenty of good restaurants close by too. Front desk staff at check-in and check-out were very friendly despite being the only one on duty both times. We would absolutely stay here again -- just can't beat that price for a comfy, clean room.

This is the third time we stay at this hotel. It's quiet, great for the price, room is excellent with kitchen and lots of space. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I have told all my friends about it and they are planning to visit. We are definitively coming back in October and next summer. It is our home away from home! Queen beds, small fridge. Our room was clean enough, my sister's room was missing a shower curtain. The outdoor pool was locked during posted "open" hours, and it took a while for the only employee to get it unlocked. My daughter was disappointed the waffle maker was broken. Slim pickings for breakfast. All in all, you get what you pay for. We stayd at the hotel on our way to myrtle beach. I booked a 2 queen room, when we arrived we were told they were overbooked( i did make a reservation). They did upgrade us to a king suite at no extra charge. The room is beautiful, very spacious. Beds were extremely comfortable. Nice little kitchenette if you were staying for any lenght of time.

Now the only issues I had was, we wanted a NO SMOKING room which i was assured was no smoking but as soon as you opened the door you could smell stale smoke. The breakfast was okay, if you like make your own waffels, bisquits and gravy and the usual cold cereal and fruit then you will like it. We would have liked eggs, maybe bacon and sausage. The remote did not work, went to front desk and she gave me two batteries from a drawer. It still didn't work. If you can find an channel and leave it on then your ok but we like to channel surf when we're in bed. At check out time, we were never asked if everything was okay so I did speak up about the smoke smell and the remote. She just stood there with a blank look on her face and said "okay". These are definately minor things, but I would stay again.. FYI - all of the third floor is smoking except for a few rooms, don't stay on that floor if you don't like the smell of smoke. Very modern updated hotel, had a the 2 queen room it was nice we only stayed for 1 night but it fit every need we had, it could've been a little closer to Kings Dominion but they do actually have another Best Western that is closer but all is well.
