Big John and little John at reception have been very helpful in extending our bookings and shifting things to reduce our movements, as we don’t know a check out date yet (we really appreciate it boys!!).
Jake has also been extremely helpful with everything we need, directing us to local bars and restaurants and even a barber when we needed it (fountain of knowledge.) Thanks also to Darrell, Rudi, Ludo and Lincoln who have been extremely helpful any time of the day or night, very friendly and approachable (I can’t talk them up enough). A special thank you to Lily (our happy housekeeper) who always had a smile on her face, kept our rooms looking 100% and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Overall I cannot recommend this place enough for the outstanding customer service and amazing location. I cannot wait to come back! I always stay at the Pacific Hotel when I am in Cairns. The position is perfect with a wonderful view of the ocean and central to everything Cairns has to offer. I was able to watch the ferries going out to the reef. Great food and service. My husband & I stayed here over-night after my staff Christmas Party which was also held here. The venue for the party was 'The Harbour Room' which was wonderful, not only for the views but for the excellent caring & attentive staff who helped make the night a much talked about success.
We were upgraded to a delux suite which was fantastic...actually, it must have been the best room in the building! The room was large, with a king bed & a spectacular view to the North, South & East. The toiletries were lovely and we also had an espresso pod machine which was much appreciated. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with a wide selection catering to all tastes & nationalities & once again the staff were fantastic. Many thanks to all for a wonderful experience! The best choice when going diving or snorkeling Due to its excellent position (only two minutes walk from marina) this is THE place to stay when in Cairns and when you have diving or snorkeling on your agenda. The hotel itself is very clean and nice and the staff friendly. It's easy to recommend this hotel. We stopped at this hotel as part of a tour of Australia and were here for three nights. The staff were lovely, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself was clean, the rooms were basic but clean and comfortable with great air con.
The hotel is in a fantastic position within easy walks of local shops, restaurants and the marina. The breakfast had a great selection and was constantly being topped up.
