By ordering furniture you agree to our Terms and Conditions as stated below. No orders will be accepted without an ORDER FORM being signed and submitted. Our payment terms are strictly payment with order. We offer local deliveries as follows: under 20km @ R650.00 - under 30km @ R700.00. Deliveries over 30km need to be arranged by client. Design-A-Bed accepts no responsibility for damage as a result of collection and/or delivery by a third party, and clients are requested to make arrangements for insurance against such damage. Where delivery has been arranged, full disclosure is required by the client as to access. staircases, security gates, lack of easy access, and so on. Additional costs will be levied where delivery is not via easy access. The delivery team is not responsible for removing existing furniture from a room, and clients are requested to make their own arrangements to allow for delivery and installation of furnniture ordered. Design-A-Bed does not act on your behalf by enlisting the services of the courier and does not act as the courier and therefore cannot be held responsible for delays or any other problems regarding delivery, including but not limited to, liability for orders shipped to incomplete or incorrect shipping addresses supplied by the customer.
Any additional fees for such orders will be the responsibility of the customer. Please insure goods against damages. All items are checked before leaving our premises to ensure perfect condition before being shipped. All our childrens beds are designed specifically for children aged 2 to 14, unless otherwise specified. We do not accept liability for damages resulting from misuse or abuse. Maximum weight allowance is 80kg static weight. Beds are designed to accommodate a mattress not exceeding 15cm in height (standard foam). NOTE: Where a latex memory foam or sprung mattress is to be fitted into the bed, additional support will need to be incorporated to allow for this. Full disclosure for this is required when ordering any beds. All beds exclude mattress and accessories or other fabric/textile accessories, unless specifically ordered. Where clients require beds partially assembled, or in sections, we are in no way responsible for assembly unless by prior arrangement.
Beds are manufactured as complete but can be disassembled for flatpack delivery. Please note, however, that we accept no responsibility for assembly of any beds delivered as flatpack, nor do we offer any guarantee for beds delivered as flatpack. Our standard manufacturing period is 6 - 8 weeks, with the exception of circumstances beyond our control. A 15% (fifteen percent) handling fee is charged for all items returned, which items must be in original good condition. While all furniture is guaranteed against faulty workmanship for a period of six [6] month, we accept no responsibility or liability for damage due to wear and tear, use or abuse, or incorrect assembly where furniture is despatched as flat pack. Due to supply and demand, there may be slight alterations to design features.
