Vitamin therapy fails to deliver for Sir Paul - The Dominion PostPrincipal Investigator Senior Research Fellow Master of Nursing Science Convenor BSc(Hons)(Cant), PhD(Otago) Email anitra.carr@otago.ac.nz Tel: 64 3 364 0649 My research speciality is the role of micronutrients in human health and disease. I have a background in biochemistry and basic biomedical research and now carry out translational (‘bench-to-bedside’) studies. Currently I am running human intervention studies investigating the bioavailability and health effects of vitamin C. I am particularly interested in the role of vitamin C in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic diseases such as cancer and severe infection. Keywords: vitamin C bioavailability and health effects; fatigue and quality of life; clinical studies Course Convenor of the Master of Nursing Science Conner, T. S., Brookie, K. L., Carr, A.
