Project description

Intro

There is a growing number of scenarios where various catastrophes brake existing supply chains in a much harsher manner than what we've seen recently. Some estimations show the next 15 years to be the period of highest risks (? links), and we're in the midst of a 6th mass extinction. So we introduce the HARK (let's compose a list of other naming options) DAO - decentralized autonomous organization focused on facing global supply chain crises. Project includes sustainable techno-environmentalist settlements with business accelerator and industrial businesses, retreat centers and research facilities, where people of diverse beliefs and worldviews can peacefully and productively cohabitate. So that If apocalyptic scenario hits hard, we are prepared and have the civilization reserve copy, and if it does not, then we just have developed settlements and working business accelerator with productive businesses in great locations.

DAO main elements

Online community, content production (incl. fillmmaking and blogging)

Decentralized Think tank, like TED institute, but committed to prediction, research and finding solutions for supply chain crises and catastrophic events, and DAO building solutions

Residences, brainstorming meetups of creatives and researchers

Decentralized Environmentalist Charitable Organization to attract people who are ready to invest in (or volunteer for) biodiversity preservation and natural landscapes restoration (such as reforestation projects, I already have some ideas)

Techno-Environmentalist settlements in a geographically safer regions, with business accelerator intended to fuel industrial development. Settlements aim to integrate in regional economies as well as to increase their own autonomy over time.

The first settlement is going to be built in Bolivia. Country' geography and nature makes it safer from global supply chain risks, there are ideal climate zones in foothill areas with temperatures of 15-25C (59-77F) all year round. Very rich in stunning landscapes and natural resources Bolivia offers the lowest business entry threshold on South American continent. Bolivia's natural resources deserve separate document to be listed. Moreover, there is NO nuclear states on the continent so far, which in combination with the precious Amazon forest, planet's highest biodiversity ecosystem, guarantees much higher nuclear warfare safety.

Socially, Bolivia is also a peculiar place, it is inhabited mostly by Quechua (45.6%) and Aymara (42.4%) people, while diverse minorities include 37 indigenous groups (0.3% average per group), and others, such as Bolivian people of African, European, Asian descent. Government relations are probably fairly simple, though it is known to be corrupt. Drug laws in general are bad, but ayahuasca and coca leaves are legal, while possession of up to 50 grams of cocaine is decriminalized.

Settlement structure

Residential settlement consisting of movable constructions

Business accelerator and industrial area So far alcoholic beverages, nootropics and traditional medicine preparations manufactures are considered as an entry points to grow further to chemical and pharmacological industry, as drugs and pesticides are in high demand, and markets seem to not to be overregulated yet.

Retreat and medical center for both indigenous traditional and modern medicine aimed to improve healthy ppl abilities by utilizing new inventions and traditional approaches. Together with local shamans we can start a retreat center to invite people from all over the world. Addictions, sleep, mental and overall wellbeing, somatic health issues - all can be addressed. Moreover this can be a playground for those who seek new psychedelic experiences, including magick-as-a-service rites. And, this definitely should be a platform for research and development, projects like trans-cranial and trans-vertebral micro-polarization based services, electric dreaming, new floating technologies, pharmacotherapy of poor musical hearing (Drow could you pls remind what chemical is used exactly?).

Other R&D facilities, I see foodtech research as an important part of the project. I'm going to mess with it anyway, and I feel like it fits the project very well. It can be launched as a lean startup.
