The "Pairmaker" range of double doors, you can choose to open the doors towards you or away and also choose whether the left or right door opens 1st. The sizes available for timber french doors vary from door to door but include 1066mm, 1220mm, 1372mm, 1524mm, 1676mm, 1252mm 1452mm, 1652mm and 1852mm, these are tight sizes without any clearance allowed but by adding the seperately supplied pairmaker rebate component you can add to these sizes by 10mm, a great range of double doors. Rebating, a confusing term for the layman but here is what it means; The word "rebate" in joinery terms relates to allowing the two doors to overlap where the meeting rails of the double internal doors join when closed, you can also choose to add the rebate if you have the correct space within your frame where the doors will be fitted, this range includes a "pairmaker" from our Joinery section within this site and adding this to the doors where they will meet in the middle will add the 10mm as mentioned

The internal double doors pairs can be fitted with or without the separately supplied "pairmaker" (for site fixing) planted rebate, using the pairmaker adds 10mm to the "tight" sizes listed and not using it means that the doors will just "butt" together where they meet, the doors can open away or towards you and with the left or the right hand as the slave door, this "pairmaker" item may need cut to height and is supplied without decoration, the metric sized doors in white or Walnut will have an oak pairmaker component which will require decoration. We stock a vast number of internal doors including oak doors and mahogany doors. Not all doors have a Paint N Peel facility for ease of decoration where required, call 01968 671681 for any clarification or assistance.
