The ergonomics are modeled after a Starion for true authenticity. The seat is a 1989 Mitsubishi Starion seat from a set I'm not using. It's not finished yet!! I have some stain for it, oh yes. ____________________________ Join Date Nov 15th, 2006 Location New Jersey, USA Posts 432 Car(s) 2001 Impreza RS Rep Power 22 I have a bit of a budget setup: The seat is a Sparco of some sort that I picked up from a friend of a friend who was respeccing a race car for new rules. The seat was a little damaged, so I had to fix it, but now it's as good as new. I repurposed the base from an office chair so it could be moved around and have adjustable height. Instead of a stain I covered the wood in the base (a piece of plywood to convert from the office chair bolt points to the Sparco bolt points, not shown) with a bit of black cotton, to give everything a more consistent look.

I've been looking at a POÄNG from Ikea for when I finally build a decent set up. ____________________________ Join Date Feb 22nd, 2005 Location ze Vaterland Age 39 Posts 6,047 Car(s) VW Diesel of Death Rep Power 168 I use the best chair ever made: EDIT for Topgearfanatic: w00t!!! It's so incredibly comfortable, I can sit in it for several hours without getting uncomfortable in any way. Nice lower back support, too, so you don't have any back ache when you get up. Alright, I'm sold, I've been looking for a reason to go to Ikea again. ____________________________ Join Date Mar 4th, 2008 Location The Hills, OR Posts 285 Car(s) The best car... in the world. that Ikea chair looks nice. Mine has adjustable lumbar support, and adjustable side bolsters though!! ____________________________ Join Date Sep 17th, 2009 Location Neu-Ulm, DE Age 31 Posts 1,418 Car(s) 2011 Alfa Romeo 159 SW 1750 TBi TI Rep Power 107 Originally Posted by the Interceptor I use the best chair ever made:

When I play with a controller I tend to lean myself forward, with my feet folded back under the chair, and the Poäng is really not comfortable in that position. But once I receive my G27 and wheelstand I'm probably gonna use it a lot more... Currently I'm using a bucket seat pulled from a late 80s Ford Bronco. I clamp the wheel to the computer desk.... I'll get a proper wheelstand soon and then look at upgrading to a new wheel. Chair was delivered promptly and I would recommend to all. The only negative about this chair is when I sit in it is just don't want to get up again Lovely comfy chair, good price, easy to assemble Arrived on time - no fuss - good value no frills itemGreat price and very nice quality...easy to put together! For the price its not too bad, but the Seat Padding is very thin and there is a metal bar that digs into my legs when I sit so I had to purchase a large flat cushion to sit on it. Very comfortable not too difficult to put together, would buy again. Easy to set up very good value, generally we are very happy about the item.
