During the move the mattress was rolled up by the removal men and then put on the bed up the other way at the new house. Since this time I have found the mattress very lumpy and I am unable to reverse the mattress due to its weight. My questions are has the mattress been spoilt in the move or alternatively should it have been kept the same way up?

asked on Feb 24, 2014that mattress is not reversible. It only has memory foam on one side. replied on Feb 25, 2014Unfortunately, I don't knowtablet the lumps. I have never had mine rolled like that. Maybe you can contact the manufacturer about that. I go turn mine every few weeks. I don't flip it over, just rotate it in a circle on the same side. It is heavy but I'm able to maneuver it this way, a little bit at a time. Hope this helps, good luck. hi, like rachey already said, memory foam is only on one side and don't roll it, ikea warns that the matress can take damake if she gets rolled replied on May 07, 2014 I just bought this ikea mattress and in the manual it said it takes 72 hours to fully expand so I have let it sit for over 72 hours and the mattress still looks some what soggy and deflated and overll uncomfortable. asked on Sep 05, 2013 I have not experienced this. I bought mine at the end of May and I'm very happy with it. Does it say anything about the temperature in the room?

I can't remember but I think in general that could be a factor with memory foam. replied on Sep 13, 2013 when it is very hot in a room the memory foam is more soft, i did not recognized any difference in the first days, only those strange smell We bought this for our teenage daughter, who reports a briliantly comfy sleep, but the chemical smell seems to be getting stronger, not going away! Is the smell normal, or even safe??? asked on Aug 10, 2013 Many people reported about the smell. I think the chemical smell is perhaps not healthy. I don't had this problem, i smelled after one day nothing any more. But I am quite sure that the smell will go away after some days, if not report that to IKEA. replied on Aug 12, 2013 Ikea Customer Services would not comment on the health risks, if any, from the strong smell (not suprising, it would be admitting faulty product) - not very helpful at all, suggested I leave it in the sun 'for a while', not easy to do in rainy weather, and when you are using it every night!

So they more or less said I could take it back for a credit. replied on Aug 16, 2013 Follow up: Ikea Customer Services contacted me again regarding the mattress smell - apparently due to Customs fumigation, and that it should be safe. In the meantime, we are airing the mattress everyday and the odour seems stronger some days than others. OVerall is it going away? Maybe... or we're just getting used to the smell and not noticing it as much! Almost 1 month old now. replied on Aug 20, 2013 See all 5 answersBottom Line What's this brand like? Good Questions: Has Anyone Tried IKEA's Foam and Latex Mattresses? I'm looking for a new mattress for me and my boyfriend and the only issue we have is he likes to sleep on a really firm mattress (stomach sleeper) and I like a mattress with some give (side sleeper) so I thought latex or memory foam might be the best bet... firm but with some give. I know about the Sonno Versa mattress from DWR, I suppose that would be ideal, but it's a little pricey for us right now, especially since we have to buy a bed as well.
