This is a very comfortable addition to a older mattress. It does not add extra heat and does not cause me to sweat like people complain about with other toppers. I let it air out for two days before putting it on the bed. I also washed the cover, so no weird smells we detected. It's very comfortable, but in the two nights I've had it on the bed I've awoken because I was super hot. I'm going to give it a couple more days to see if I adjust, or if it has to go. The quality is on point with the price.Can't get out of bed though! Well worth the purchase price. So Far So Good Unpackaged it and followed directions. In 24 hours, it had taken shape. No one has slept on it, yet, because we put it on a guest bed. Cozy... comfy ..... don't feel like getting out of bed ! So I have tried to give this a go. My neck, spine shoulders hurt. My body is over heating. You sink into thIs. I have no support what so ever. Who ever said in the review they had suppost must have weighted 65lbs. In reality I weight 160 not as over weight. Yes it looks good. But I sink in.. I chose this item for two reasons. the first is that I needed something that would keep me cooler at night and the second it was was highly recommended by a friend of mine. Once seeing how well others liked this, I placed my order. I was very excited when it arrived. It does have a cool touch, however, it made me very hot throughout the night. Halfway through the second night, I had to pull everything off the bed including the cooling pad. I wish I could say this did it's job...for some it may, it just didn't work for me.
