These are really cute and I really wish I could keep them, however after less than an hour wearing them inside my house, they hurt. When I took them off, I had a deep imprint that was very red and hurting on the top of my foot where the top elastic is connected to the shoe.
The way the strap is connected isn't smooth enough, so it dug into my foot. If Clarks would fix this problem, I would try the shoe again!They're stylish, they fit well, and the red color is not obnoxious. I like the elastic band that goes across the top of the arch. I wear these without any socks/hose and they look great. Works well with jeans and casual dresses. Ugh these may be the ugliest shoes I have ever purchased online (and of course I sent back). I expected the shoe to have more of a firm structure. The shoe was bendable and towards the the toe area there were these stretchy pleat like things which made the shoe look like something that my great-grandmother would wear. The low rating for comfort was because the size I purchased wasn't large enough. It is hard for me to buy shoes that fit right and are comfortable because I have had foot surgery and need shoes that don't touch my heel and are wide across the toes. I have been shopping for shoes for a couple of months but hadn't found any that fit right.
Zappos had these Clarks clogs in a wide size and I ordered brown ones and black ones. They fit perfectly, are very nice looking, fairly low heel -- exactly what I wanted. I just love them and am so happy to have found a place where I can find shoes to meet my needs. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. They are light weight and easy to wear all day long. My husband loves these shoes. He wears them to work each day and says they are very comfortable. He owns two pairs. Well worth the money. Wow, what a clunker. Other reviews said it felt wider than marked but I didn't find that to be true at all. This shoe seemed quite short and had a toe box that definitely didn't accommodate my wide foot-- and in fact I thought it accented my bunion. Not the comfortable walking shoe I was hoping for so I sent it back. Thanks for being so easy to work with, Zappos! Difficult to put on. Area around opening wasn't comfortable with a sharp edge that didn't give at all and dug into ankle.
I ordered black but didn't expect or like the brown stitching.I have at 5 other pair in various colors in this exact shoe. Gave it 4 stars overall because the memory foam seems to flatten out before it should, rendering them less comfortable in the long run. It's very hard to get a WW that truly is a WW. This one comes close. The suede is soft and forgiving, the sole is soft and padded, and the squared toe insures a better fit as well. While these shoes tend to be more expensive, they will always look shined, never crease, and are work-appropriate. 2. Shoes With A Rubber Sole (Caterpillar Dougald Shoe, Amazon, $145) A rubber sole shoe prevents water from seeping in and will dry quickly, especially if you take time to add extra waterproofing protection before slipping them on. A good option are Caterpillar’s Dougald Shoe, which looks like a quality brogue but has extra traction and a rubber sole on the bottom. (ECCO Atlanta Plain Toe, Zappos, $110) Some companies make less expensive (but still solid) footwear that uses water resistant materials such as synthetic leathers or gor-tex.
Though they’re not the same high-brow quality as your fancy leather work shoes, they’re more stylish than a pair of goulashes and will suit practical men in inclement weather. Just be sure to choose a pair that also has decent traction on the soles. (Earthkeepers Heritage Rugged Boot, Timberland, $190) A waterproof leather boot like this one has a rugged style while still looking high-end and appropriate for the more casual office. A brand like Timberland will also have better traction and the higher ankle to keep your feet dry, no matter the weather. Plus, there’s an extra layer of waterproofing and rust-proof hardware, which doesn’t hurt either. (Classic Galoshes, SWIMS, starting at $99) You can still wear your favorite work shoes even if it’s raining (with the right accessories). Choose a pair of galoshes that fit right over your shoe, like the SWIMS brand, and just take them off when you get to work. These are easy to slip on because they’re highly stretchable and the inner lining is low friction.
SWIMS galoshes are also tear-resistant and will insulate your feet from the cold. If you bike to work or like the look of sneakers, check out a low-cut rain shoe like the Tretorn Gunnar. The cuff goes up to the ankle and they are fully waterproof, but still easy and lightweight to walk around in. These are great for a guy who wants a simple, non-bulky rain boot option. When it’s absolutely pouring outside, sometimes there’s no way around wearing a pair of Wellies. While some men can rock a pair of tall rain boots, most will feel more comfortable with the shorter version that still protects you against puddles, but won’t make you look like Paddington Bear.
