Experience the New Aeron Because work has changed, we made our best chair work even better. Made for the person, the landscape, and the world Herman Miller Online Store It’s easy to fall in love with Eames Shell Chairs Coinciding with the introduction of the Eames Wire Chair, the Office redesigned the Herman Miller Los Angeles showroom to include the new Eames collection, new furniture from George Nelson, and fabrics by designer Alexander Girard. As in past installations, the furniture was surrounded by a variety of objects—a Mexican piñata, a wooden sculpture of a whale from the Pacific Northwest, a wall of seed packets purchased at a local nursery, shells, Indian kites and reels, desert flora, flowers, plants, and table accessories. On one wall, the entire Herman Miller catalog was mounted page by page. As in other installations and exhibitions, the objective was not to show actual room settings but to create an “attitude” of home or office by the use of objects and images.

The elastomer strands vary in thickness and tension to provide greater support along the spine where you need it most, and less everywhere else so you are free to move. Configure Your Sayl Chair Add to Wish List Fewer parts, less material, and still everything a good chair should be Good design, healthy support, and exceptional value are always attractive—and Sayl delivers all three. By using smart engineering to transform simple materials, we were able to make Sayl everything a good chair should be. Fewer parts and less material also mean a smaller environmental impact. Sayl designer Yves Béhar and our development team considered and reconsidered every part of the chair—and, in the end, created a better, smarter chair that sets the reference point in its class for quality, performance, and design.
"Not defined by boundaries." The vertical and horizontal strands of Sayl’s 3D Intelligent suspension back provide passive PostureFit sacral support, which tilts your hips slightly forward to keep your spine in healthy alignment for improved posture and increased comfort. An Array of Options From an optional lumbar support that can be adjusted vertically to fit the natural curve of your spine to fully adjustable arms, you have a choice of options that let you outfit your Sayl chair to match your preferences. By applying the engineering principles of suspension bridges, designer Yves Béhar used less material in more inventive ways to provide ergonomic support for people up to 350 pounds (159 kg). Also, Sayl contains no PVCs, and its materials are almost entirely recyclable. Sayl’s unframed back and Y-Tower support create a striking visual aesthetic that reveals both the designer’s inspiration and intent. An expressive color palette gives you plenty of options for personalizing your chair.
Herman Miller showroom interiors Throughout the 1950s and into the early 1960s, the Eames Office designed and installed the interiors and furniture groupings for Herman Miller’s Los Angeles showroom. The Eameses reorganized the interior spaces of the showroom for each opening, which usually coincided with the introduction of a new item or line of furniture, and incorporated other furniture and fabrics from the Nelson and Girard design offices. Charles and Ray designed much of the new furniture introduced in this period, including the Eames Plastic Armchairs and Side Chairs, and a variation of the Eames Folding Table. The husband-and-wife team enlivened the showroom spaces with a vast array of objects. Integrated within the furniture displays, one could find anything from toys, plants, and tumble weed to sculptures, folk art, and photo murals. We're the trusted experts in small and medium business office interiors. Your office is our specialty. Founded in 1996, Office Designs was the first company to promote the Herman Miller Aeron chair and numerous other leading-edge ergonomic chairs online.
