Kang Hye Won (강혜원; or simply Hyewon) is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter and actress under 8D Entertainment. She is a former member of the project girl group IZ*ONE.
She released her first solo album, a winter special album titled W, on December 22, 2021.
2018-2021: Produce 48, IZ*ONE
On May 11, 2018, she was revealed as a contestant on Produce 48, where she would be representing 8D Creative. She finished the competition 8th overall, thus becoming a member of IZ*ONE.[2] The group officially debuted on October 29 with their first mini album Color*IZ.
On April 29, 2021, IZ*ONE disbanded after their special contract was concluded. Then, Hyewon returned to 8D as a trainee.
2021: Acting and first solo release
In July 2021, rumors began to surface stating that Hyewon would be making her acting debut in the third season of the KOK TV web series Best Mistake. On September 6, 8D Entertainment officially confirmed that she will be making her acting debut and appearing in the series.
On December 7, 2021, it was announced that Hyewon would release a special winter album W on December 22. The album is a gift to fans who have sent her a lot of love.
