The ITM houses three scientific departments, a specialised outpatient clinic and various support services, and employs over 400 staff. The institute draws its core funding from the Flemish Ministries of Education and Science, and the Federal Ministries of Development Cooperation, Public Health and Social Affairs, international project financing and own income. The ITM works with many scientific institutions, governments and organisations all over the world for a long-lasting improvement of health care and disease control in developing countries. The National School of Public Health (ENSP) in Rabat, Morocco was established in September 1989. The ENSP is under the tutelage of the Ministry of Health and has played a major role in training healthcare managers and public health specialists from Morocco and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The ENSP has four core missions: training, research, expertise, and support for the National health system. The ENSP fosters also knowledge collecting, sharing and promotion of evidence informed policy making through PhD programs and research projects at the national, regional, and international level. ENSP’s approach aims at strengthening healthcare executives’ capacities and enabling them to act as “stewards” of the health system, implement healthcare reforms, adapt to complex healthcare settings and improve the health system performance (effectiveness, efficiency, and responsiveness).
