It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of Product: Graco Harmony™ High Chairs Units: About 1.2 million Manufacturer: Graco Children's Products Inc., of Atlanta, Ga. Hazard: The screws holding the front legs of the high chair can loosen and fall out and/or the plastic bracket on the rear legs can crack causing the high chair to become unstable and tip over unexpectedly. This poses a fall hazard to children. Incidents/Injuries: Graco has received 464 reports of screws loosening/falling out and/or plastic brackets cracking causing the high chair to tip over unexpectedly.
These tip-over's resulted in 24 reports of injuries including bumps and bruises to the head, a hairline fracture to the arm, and cuts, bumps, bruises and scratches to the body. Description: This recall involves all Harmony™ High Chairs. The Harmony™ high chair was manufactured from November 2003 through December 2009 and is no longer in production. Kept very clean from a non-smoking home. Height is adjustable and the chair reclines or sits in vertical position (straight up). Has a snack tray that attaches on top of the regular tray. Rolls and legs fold up for easy storage. The adjustable height is wonderful for lowering to fit under a table and using without the tray. This highchair has no straps. (child can't slide out because of thick bar between their legs...also tray fits right up to their belly). This highchair retails for around $100. How to Fold Up a Graco High Chair Graco high chairs are definitely user-friendly, as are most Graco products. Many of their models can multitask by serving as car seats, infant seats and even baby rockers. They all have a three-point harness for keeping baby safe and they are lightweight yet durable. Once you have mastered the art of closing the high chair to be put away for the night, you will be able to do it in less time than it takes to warm up baby's bottle. Clean off the tray and any parts that might be dirty. Use a damp cloth or a sponge and then dry the high chair before closing it.Remove the tray and place it in the area where you are going to store the rest of the high chair. Look for the red buttons on the sides of the high chair. Depress them at the same time. Once the buttons are depressed, fold the legs together. Push the seat toward the back.Depress the buttons on the back of the legs to lower the legs for making the folded seat even smaller. Replace the tray back onto the chair and it is ready to be put away.
