DESCRIPTION AND ANALYSIS

Golem is a global, open source, decentralized supercomputer that anyone can access. It is made up of the combined power of users’ machines, from PCs to entire data centers. Golem is capable of computing a wide variety of tasks, from CGI rendering, through machine learning to scientific computing. Golem’s limitations are only defined by software developers’ creativity. Golem creates a decentralized sharing economy of computing power and supplies software developers with a flexible, reliable and cheap source of computing power.

WHAT PROBLEM SOLVE

Golem enables users and applications (requestors) to rent out cycles of other users’ (providers) machines. Any user ranging from a single PC owner to a large data center can share resources through Golem and get paid in GNT (Golem Network Tokens) by requestors. Golem utilizes an Ethereum-based transaction system to settle payments between providers, requestors and software developers. All computations take place in sandbox environments and are fully isolated from the host’s system. Software developers are in the center of Golem’s ecosystem: Application Registry and Transaction Framework enable anyone to deploy, distribute and monetize applications in the Golem network.

PLANS

Future releases of Golem will bring major improvements to the protocol in terms of its flexibility and robustness. In order to expand the user base we are already in the process of integrating a variety of new use cases to Golem in cooperation with our business and technological partners. Areas which we are currently exploring include:

·       machine learning,

·       scientific computing,

·       business analytics,

·       microservices and dapps.

Together with the development of Golem’s infrastructure, our focus is going to shift towards creating tools for developers and software companies. These solutions will make Golem a competitive source of computing power and a viable alternative to existing cloud providers.

ROADMAP

Roadmap

For every milestone there is a corresponding Go-to-Market Strategy (GMS). Each of them is focused on value propositions developed in respective milestones and specific needs of Golem’s ecosystem: software developers, requestors and providers.

● In the long run, software developers are pivotal elements of the GMS, especially starting from the Stone release onwards . With Golem architecture being mature enough to allow developers to integrate their own solutions, further growth of the entire ecosystem will depend on innovative and widely-adopted software running on Golem. Apart from creating state-of-the art technical infrastructure for such third-party integrations, the GMS include appropriate marketing activities and incentives.

● Requestors are the main focus of the GMS in Brass and Clay releases . The efforts will include facilitating integrations of widely-needed and commercially viable use cases, combined with dedicated marketing activities and eradicating barriers for potential requestors to join the network.

● Providers are most likely to respond to economic incentives offered by Golem and simply join the network in order to earn tokens in exchange for their computing resources . Nevertheless, the GMS assume communication with this target group, so that at every stage the demand is matched with sufficient supply.

Summary

This is a very interesting, dizzying project, which has a practical interest. Many suffer in their profession from the lack of computational powers. And the Golem is the real solution for them.

Our advice: buy during the "Bitcoin's storm", when the Bitcoin futures will close on January 26 and February 14
