Learn how to make your own bean bag chair cover using tools and supplies you find on eBay. Hold a tape measure around the diameter of your bean bag chair to determine how large to cut your fabric.
Note the length and width of each side of the chair, then measure the top and bottom. Add 1 inch to all of these measurements. Cut the fabric you choose into four rectangles to match the side measurement you of the bean bag chair. Cut two more square panels to match the top and bottom measurements. Make a marking on each of the side panels with chalk. Label the panels 1, 2, 3, and 4. The chalk wipes off easily after the cover is sewn onto the chair. Use a sewing machine to attach the side of the first panel to the side of the second panel. Leave a 1/2-inch seam on the sides. Sew the third panel to the opposite side of the second panel, then sew the fourth panel to the opposite side of the third panel. Wrap this new piece of fabric around the chair to see if it fits. Sew the top panel of the bean bag chair cover to one of the open sides of the second panel. Sew one side of the bottom panel to the opposite side of the second panel. Connect the top panel to the third and fourth panels.
Connect the bottom panel to the third and fourth panels. Finish the bean bag chair cover by sewing the bottom panel to the bottom of the fourth panel. Make sure the bean bag fits inside the cover by pushing it through the remaining open section of the cover. If the bean bag does not fit, remove the stitching on the panels to create more room, then sew the panels again. Remove the bean bag from the cover. Flip the slipcover inside out. Set the bean bag next to the cover, then pull the cover over the bag to cover the entire chair. Measure the length of the open seam on the cover with a ruler. Cut a piece of Velcro that fits this measurement. Sew the Velcro onto the remaining seam. Fold the edge of the fabric over the Velcro to make the seam on the chair less visible. Sew the other side of the Velcro onto the opposing panel. Connect the panels together with the Velcro to finish the cover. Swap the cover out with another cover by undoing the Velcro, and removing the chair inside.
