It is the intent of the Sacramento County Airport System to provide access to Sacramento County Airport System and the services associated with its operation to persons with disabilities in accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Public bus service to and from Sacramento International Airport is provided by Yolo Bus. Passengers may submit comments or complaints about accessibility at Sacramento International Airport via our Contact Us form. Persons with disabilities whose vehicles have a disabled license plate or valid DMV placard may park in the designated spaces located in economy, hourly, and daily lots. Posted parking fees apply to everyone using these spaces. For assistance regarding parking lot access, please call (916) 874.0681. Telecommunication devices for the deaf (TDD) are conveniently located throughout the terminal lobbies and concourses. Wheelchair assistance is available from airlines and curbside skycaps at no charge. Skycaps may also assist with luggage. To request wheelchair assistance; please visit your airline's ticket counter. In Terminal A, the ticket counters are on ground level.




In Terminal B, take an elevator or escalator to the second level to find your airline's ticket counter. Those wishing to transport a battery-powered wheelchair aboard an aircraft should make arrangements with their airline in advance. The airport recommends contacting your airline before your trip to learn about wheelchair assistance. Click on the links in the right sidebar for airline information for customers with disabilities. Flight & Travel InfoAccessible transportation options are available when using public transit and wheelchair accessible buses are available to travel around the airport. The Purple, Red and Blue route buses serves all terminals and parking lots. Accessible parking stalls for travelers with disabilities are located near the entrance in all of LaGuardia’s parking facilities. Accessible vehicles, including those equipped with hand controls are available to rent at LaGuardia Airport.

The Port Authority provides pet relief areas for service animals at all of our airports. Service available free of charge. Please notify your travel agent or airline of your needs when booking your flight or at least 48 hours prior to your departure. Provide them with as much information as possible regarding the level of assistance required. To enable the necessary preparations, please indicate the nature of your disability when you make your booking :




• WCHR (Wheelchair Ramp) : You are able to walk short distances and climb stairs. For longer distances you need a wheelchair and the appropriate assistance. • WCHS (Wheelchair Steps) : You are able to walk short distances, but cannot climb steps. • WCHC (Wheelchair Carry) : You need a wheelchair at all times and are also dependent on assistance on board the aircraft. • BLND (Blind) : You are blind or visually impaired and require assistance during your journey. • DEAF (Deaf) : You are deaf, hearing-impaired or deaf-mute and require assistance during your journey. • MAAS Elderly (Meet and Assist Elderly) : Your mobility is reduced due to age and you require assistance during your journey. • DPNA (Disabled Passenger Needs Assistance) : You require assistance during your journey due to a mental disability. Please report to one of the pick-up points two hours prior to your flight’s scheduled departure time.




The pick-up-points are signposted using standard pictograms and are located near the entrances to the terminals. You can either contact a member of staff at the pick-up point or request assistance over the phone. Staff will then help you at the check-in and accompany you to the aircraft. Alternatively you can report directly to your airline’s check-in desk once you have checked in your baggage. Staff will then accompany you from here to the aircraft. All passengers must pass through a security check before departure. Passengers using a wheelchair who are unable to stand will be checked separately in a security booth. If you are carrying medication (aerosol pumps, syringes,…) or rely on special aids (e.g. prostheses), please have the relevant medical certificate available and notify the security staff or your airline. If you are using an electric wheelchair, the motor must be disconnected from the battery. If you wear a pacemaker, please inform the security staff.
