Yes, this model will work but you will need to go through a professional dealer to get a one piece rail. What is the maxium weigth that it can lift ? There is no weight limit that we have for this garage door opener. We recommend that it is installed on a well-balanced garage door. what is the opening speed? The Excelerator II has an opening speed of up to 12 inches per second. I have two questions. 1. What is the difference between Excelerator and Power Max 1500? The PowerMax 1500 has a motion dector to turn the lights on and off, the Excelerator does not have this feature. The C-Channel rail will work a 7ft high garage door out of the box, the assembled length of the rail only is 112.5 inches long. Purchased opener in January.
