The topper can take anywhere from 12-72 hours to fully expand. Air temperature and humidity can play a big role in how long it takes to air out. The colder the temperature is, the longer it takes to expand. While the memory foam mattress topper does not contain any cooling properties, our Memory Foam Gel Topper distributes heat evenly making for a cooler and more comfortable sleep. We designed the topper to be 1 inch shorter on all sides so that the topper fits snug under the sheet. We understand that bulky toppers can sometimes cause issues and we feel that this is the best way is to make sure the sheet fits comfortably over the topper and mattress. While we do not recommend cutting the topper, it will not hurt if you need to trim it a little.
Be sure that the topper has fully expanded before cutting.
