It originally came with a 7" gas lift, which turned out to be a bit on the low side, so I always had it at the maximum height. This meant a lot of stress on the piston while reclining, and after a while it started to work loose, wobble, and then loose height while sitting. I ordered a 9" gas lift to replace it, and I'm very happy with the product I received. The fitting instructions were clear, though the old lift needed a good few whacks with a hammer to get it out, but it all worked out fine in the end.
The new gas lift is a perfect fit, I've set it to extended about half way, and it feels pretty stable. Hopefully having a long gas lift set half way will last longer - than a shorter gas lift on maximum.
