Precision Garage Door of Greater Seattle I am very unsatisfied with the service I received yesterday. First of all the technician was early, which would be fine if I didn't have to work. I made my appointment for the time of 4 - 6, I received a call from the tech at 2:30 saying that he was available. I told him that I would arrive home a little before 4 and would call him when I got there. When I pulled up to my house the tech was parked in my driveway waiting, I find this quite unprofessional. The diagnosis of the problem with my garage door opener he states is due to "mis-use" because my garage door is "too heavy". That garage door opener has been in working condition for 20 years with no problems, they don't last forever. The door isn't "too heavy" he was just trying to upsell me. I didn't feel that the technician was being truthful in his diagnosis. After further consultations with neighbors with the same door and opener for the same length of time they felt that I was being mis-led also.
Because of his diagnosis, which he obtained without even thoroughly looking at the garage door opener my insurance denied the claim to have it fixed. Because of this I am going to pay to have a second opinion with a more reputable company and will in no way recommend your company to any of my family and friends.
