On the garage unit press the square button..hold it until the blue light appears. Release it and press it once again (not holding it this time) Then step back about 6 feet and press your OLD remote once. (This wasn't in the instructions..not one word about the old remote). The take the remote your trying to program and press the button (2) twice. The press it again and hopefully the door will be working.
