You work odd hours and weekends are usually no money days. The franchise owners will belittle you, lie and cheat you out of money. Don't believe a word they say. Find another company if you enjoy garage door sales/service or if you are in need of such service. Over priced and most employees aren't trained. Advice to Management Actually train your employees like you say. Keep your word and keep your personal problems out of your business. Cons Where I was (Portland OR) the owner tried to make you feel small. Willing to overcharge customers and under deliver for profit.Training is not what they tell customers it is.Owners were challenging me on life time warranty parts that were reused by previous techs.You work weekends and they are usually slow. Advice to Management Treat your employees with more respect.
Listen to your techs when they tell you what they found that was sub standard by previous techs. Cons Steep learning curve on some of the repairs. Generally no money made on recalls. Night time on call is really the biggest problem. Advice to Management Keep it up. I think that offering a bonus commission structure for alls after 7 PM would make a large difference in employee satisfaction. Questions were answered when asked. Cons Sometimes the paperwork didn't match and it took time to figure out and fix it to match.
Not getting paper work in on time for month end. Some of the techs were hard to work with. They expected the girls in the office to do extra work for them and to run around getting paperwork when not needed.
