Why we bought a Futon:My three year old son needed a bed for his new room. We searched many options and found a twin-over-futon bunk bed that was a great value. I loved the idea of being able to read stories to my kids from the bottom bunk. Also, during the day the futon would adjust to an upright position to serve as a couch for space saving; aka more play area for my kids.
