The dispatcher patched in a service that was able to provide a Ukrainian interpreter within a couple of minutes.The man told the interpreter that Kocherhina had gone to “the pool” and didn’t return and that he took a taxi to find her.




He said he found her lying in blood behind the furniture store.The interpreter remained on the line to help the man talk to police and EMS. Late in the call, he can be heard sobbing as someone confirmed that Kocherhina was dead.Police have not said whether they consider Kocherhina’s death a homicide, but said they were still investigating. Officials surrounded the area with crime scene tape and appeared to be focusing their investigation around the back parking lot of the business and two trucks - a white moving truck and a multi-colored truck - that were parked in the lot. #/O9vijEcyh4— Gloria Rodriguez (@GloriaABC11) September 16, 2016 Detectives were seen placing evidence markers around the white truck where the woman's body was discovered.Many who live in the neighborhood behind the store, around Raleigh Beach Road and Groundwater Place, said they often drive through the parking lot as a shortcut to get home.They said it's dark there, and it's not uncommon to see people in vehicles hanging late at night. "It's really creepy and scary to think about it because just last night we had passed through there," neighbor Maria Arias said. "I think it was like 11p that we came back from the gym. Just thinking about how we always pass through there at night. J.D. Byrider, which is next to the furniture store, said the victim was not one of their employees or customers.

A year ago Olha Kocherhina and Volodymyr Kocherhin were living the American dream. The couple owned a home in the suburbs of East Raleigh.But something went wrong. On Monday, their adult daughter didn't say what went wrong, but told ABC11 that the home went into foreclosure.Property records show it was sold in October 2015.Since then the couple has been homeless, according to their daughter Nelli Kocherhina.Olha Kocherhina, 44, was found dead behind a Kimbrell's Furniture store on New Bern Avenue early Friday morning after a man with what sounds like a Ukrainian accent called 911. Olha Kocherhina During the call, the man, who is slurring words, says, "may be dead."Later an interpreter who joined the call tells the 911 dispatcher, "She's lying in blood." Nelli Kocherhina told ABC11 that she understood that her parents had been living in some sort of trailer behind the furniture store.
