Secure your daybed cover so it accents the room in a decorative manner. Sheet Suspenders Sheet suspenders or straps hold a fitted daybed cover in place. They attach beneath the mattress and can fit any-size daybed. The straps clip to the cover in each corner, then expand in a criss-cross fashion across the underside of the daybed mattress. A cotton mattress pad on top of the mattress also helps reduce slipping, especially with rayon or other smooth materials. Adhesive Strips For full-length daybed covers with fabric that falls to the floor in the front and on the sides, secure the cover with strips of commercial, fire-retardant grade hook-and-loop tape designed for heavy fabrics. Measure the adhesive strips to fit the entire length of the cover on the front and both sides, then attach them on the underside of the fabric.
