Season two of "Free!" We are chronologically relocated one year after the beginning of the first series; the school year is ending, as is winter. Winter gives way to spring, and the new season brings Seijuurou Mikoshiba's farewell to the Samezuka team, as he is about to graduate, henceforth the squadron's captain will be Rin. A new character pops up to join Samezuka, but Sosuke Yamazaki is not so new; he comes straight from our protagonists' past; will he bring disruption? The Iwatobi club, on the other hand, is not doing so well, it suffers from not having an indoor swimming pool, plus Gou's promotion strategies, all centered on muscle worship, end up making all the students run for the hills, will there be no new members? Perhaps Gorou Sasabe has a remedy for at least the first problem and is about to offer a roof over the heads of the little fish: Haru, Makoto, Nagisa, and Rei... Now Haru and Makoto are third-year students, they need to start thinking about their future.... Instead, Rin already knows what she wants...
