Haruka Nanase, the main character, has always loved to dive into the water and swim. Just before leaving elementary school, he participated in a competition together with his swim teammates-Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, and Rin Matsuoka. After achieving the coveted victory in a relay race, each of these boys went their separate ways and lost sight of each other. quite some time has passed, we find the protagonist in the midst of his quiet, flat high school life. But stirring things up is the return of Rin, who challenges Haruka, showing him his clear superiority in the pool. Meanwhile, Haruka together with his 2 other old friends Makoto and Nagisa, founds a swimming club. Their manager will be Gou, Rin's sister, who attends the same institution. The 4 recruit a new member: freshman Rei Ryugazaki, a former pole vaulter. Haruka, Makoto Nagisa, Rei and Rin introduce us to a story about swimming, youth and friendship.
