There are plenty of ergonomic, comfortable task chairs that cost an arm and a leg (e.g. the Aeron), but not everybody can afford a great seat. Whether it's another chair, standing, or an exercise ball, how do you work every day in comfort without succumbing to poor posture or breaking the bank? We want to know. Unplggd readers suggested the Bungee Office Chair ($99, The Container Store), but it's not great for everyone. (yeah yeah i know...too late lol). I got general admission tickets and I read around about the best spots.. and the allowed locations seem to change from year to year.. i think we'll aim for the hairpin ..however my main question is : What time are people starting to lineup for this ?

does that mean 6-7 AM..? or 2-3 AM ? because on a forum some guy suggested before 3 AM...if ppl show up at 3 AM..are there 1000s of people ? or just 50 fanatics? because if there arent too many..i dont mind showing up at 6 - 7 in the morning. Thanks for any input ! I find a General admission ticket not really worth the effort as theres so few places to actually watch the race and those few places you can find are 10-20 people deep trying to get a glimpse through a fairly thick chain link fence, with the battling the crowds coming and going it sure makes for a long day, best viewing spots for general admission is a large field about half mile before the hairpin where you can sit and watch the cars go by at 300+kms just a blur. Then about a half mile after the hairpin there is a small grove of trees on the left where many watch the race or more likely just watching the large monitor accross the track...You can see the race from the hairpin as you walk but if you dont have a seat ticket they dont allow you to stop there.

Let us know what you think once its over. Edited: 30 May 2013, 16:11 I've only been once but I was talking to some GA guys who had seats (their own folding chairs that is) right at the fence and they said the arrive about 45 minutes early on Friday and Saturday and 90 minutes early on Sunday. They were sitting on the exit of the hairpin sort of behind Grandstand 34. The cars where whipping by pretty quick although not quite up to 300 km yet. I agree 100% with Jim R that the GA tickets are pretty poor especially if you're going for all 3 days. If you are a racing fan, getting grandstand seats is a must. If you're a casual fan who is going on Sunday only just to soak in the atmosphere then GA will probably work. I'm in section 31 this year and I can't wait although I'm not looking forward to the drive from Boston. My Profile picture is from Grandstand 34 from 2011 when they red flagged the race for hours due to heavy rain. Edited: 04 June 2013, 08:31 One destination mentioned in this post

When there is no racing on the track you are allowed to drive around it in your car,you are relegated to 35mph but if no ones looking faster speeds can be obtained 6am is the best time. Me and my little roadster ready to take on all comers. Ooh I'm thinking me and my mini would love a go at that. -:- Message from TripAdvisor staff -:-This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity. They create an account and upload photos of the items with a description. Visitors peruse the site and contact the owner directly. Started by Montrealer Gabriel Saba, the website includes a multitude of different things people might need for specific occasions, such as folding chairs, gardening tools, hockey skates and baby strollers. Many are items people purchased and only used once or twice, said Saba. For example, a wood saw that would normally set you back close to $100 if purchased new would only cost $3 a day to rent through SharingKit.

Some items can even be lent out free. Saba, who has an MBA from McGill University, said he thinks SharingKit can help build a sense of community where you help out your neighbours. Another premise is to promote a more socially and environmentally conscious way of consumption. “We are consuming way more than the Earth can handle. The more the population grows, the more stress we put on our resources,” he said. With many hearing about it through word of mouth, the website now has over 1,000 users and over 200 items listed. Why do we ask for your postal code? By providing your delivery postal code, you’ll allow us to: Let you know immediately if we can service your area. Tailor our selection to make sure you see only items that can be delivered to you. Inform you if the item is currently in stock. Offer you special pricing that may only be available in some areas. Help you find a local showroom in case you want to see an item in-person.
