As a shoulder bag, the grays and blacks work well together and a number of side pockets and mesh storage spaces make it more than just a hidden chair container. As a chair, the same color scheme works well with the sturdy aluminum frame – a few pounds of material that can carry up to 250 pounds of weight. The fully-deployed seat also has mesh storage on the sides for drinks and snacks. Can a Smartphone Really Replace Your Camera? You can still find last year’s picks on page two. There are many styles of camping. Some people go off the grid in Patagonia. Others park their trailers in a lot. But no matter what, every camper likes to take a load off. As a result, the market for camping chairs includes everything from heavy, relatively luxurious chairs to ultralight chairs that can slot into a pack.

These are our favorites for kicking back outdoors. Additional contribution by AJ Powell. More Sports and Outdoors Released earlier this year, the Helinox Chair Zero is the lightest four-legged camp chair on the market. It weighs in at just over a pound and offers a seating height of 11 inches. The Chair Zero is also extremely easy to set up, with one shock-corded pole for assembly. Evrgrn’s collaboration chair with Pendleton is perfect for those who splurged on Pendleton’s Airstream trailer, but really, it’s at home in any camp. It features a Pendleton jacquard print that dates back to 1910, folds up easily, and weighs in at a surprisingly light (for a rocking chair) 5 pounds. If you seek ultralight performance in a camp chair but still want a fun print, Alite’s Four-Legged Mantis is the way to go. The San Francisco-based company offers a lifetime guarantee on its camp chairs; if you ever have an issue with one, simply send it back, and the brand will repair or replace it.

When it comes to portability and packability, the Quadra is tough to beat. It packs into its own base, which is roughly the size of a tennis ball canister, and when unpacked, it can hold up to 300 pounds. Setting it up is a little bit more involved than other chairs on this list, but you get more than you give. The Crazy Creek Hex 2.0 is dead simple, and that’s a good thing. It consists of one piece of fabric folded at a 90-degree angle and held together by two nylon straps. It’s the most affordable on the list, as well as the lightest, coming in at 21.9 ounces. It has less parts to break, and has been a mainstay in the packs of lightweight backpackers for decades.V M FurnitureFurniture OutdoorInteriors FurnitureFurniture PiecesDesign FurnitureHardscapes InteriorsDesign HardscapesDanish SlatCobblecrest PatioForwardlove the lines of this slat chair from V Has anyone brought a folding chair on a plane? the smallest one i can find is 30" long. i have to get a huge suitcase to put it in. and it looks like AA's max for carryon is 22".

i actually really want one with a canopy which would be 35" or more. Any suggestions or experience? We take it on many vacations. It is so durable and it is comfortable for anyone that does not have issues getting up and down. We take it river camping and we put if right in our back pack we carry on the plane to mexico for the beach..... No canopy just a small chair. It is like less then 12" by 5" by 4" something like that when in its bag. Everyone on the beach keeps asking us where we get them. So far holding up great. We have packed mulitple chairs in a golf bag and checked it. If you're planning to bring a canopy chair to Jazz Fest, just be aware that you will be instantly disliked by everyone around you. The Fest doesn't prohibit them, that I'm aware of at least, but they are not very popular with regular Festgoers. The canopy is fine as long as you take it down during a set. You can also pick up some canvas fold-up chairs at Walgreens. I didn't see any with canopy's but they were comfy and for just $10 each, we just bought them and left them in the room when we went home, saving ourselves alot of packing issues.

Wondering if anyone has had problems, or had no issues, bringing a small camp chair in their carry on for international flights recently? We have US connections, but flying to Mexico. This is the one we have... As long as your carry-on doesn't exceed the allowable size, then I don't see how it would be a problem. Camp chairs aren't prohibited by TSA.We saw that the TSA doesn't allow tent poles, so were nervous about the "poles" of the chair. -:- Message from TripAdvisor staff -:-This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
