Accessories & Replacement Parts I will be camping for several weeks (Westfjords and Ring Road) and I am tyring to bring the majority of my needed supplies (stove, tent, air mattress, sleeping bag etc.).

However, I was wondering if anyone knows where to get or have any ideas for things like pillows and camping chairs / other bulky supplies. The idea of using my clothes folded up as a pillow for several weeks isn't super appealing to me; I think a good nights sleeep is pretty important. All my previous multi-week camping trips have always been local enough for me to bring a pillow with me so I'm not quite sure what to do. I had a friend say that she bought a pillow at Ikea and left it there (somewhere, I have no idea where) but I hate being wasteful, especially as a tourist, but there is only so much I can bring with me! I have seen some places rent camping chairs but it seems crazy expensive since renting one was about 30 Euros for my trip! I know things are expensive in Iceland but basic camping chairs are only about 8-9 Euros to buy outright where I live. Are camping chairs even really used or do most campsites have picnic tables next to where you put your tent? Any idea where I might purchase and then donate things that we don't have room to take back?

Or places that do more reasonable rentals? One attraction mentioned in this post Ranked of 551 things to do in Iceland My husband and I have done several long term "fly and drive" camping road trips. We have inflatable camping pillows and super lightweight chairs that fold up small like this. Not always high quality, but for the most part it does the job it is intended to do. Several stores in Iceland. No english version of the website, but there are pictures. Look at the section "Utandyra" (outdoors). I took an inflatable pillow with me to Iceland. It's small but super comfortable and you can inflate it as much or as little as you want. All the campsites I stayed in had picnic tables or kitchen areas to sit in. I'd brought little camp stools with me but never needed to use them. -:- Message from TripAdvisor staff -:-This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
