Fidel Castro

On 25th November 1956, Fidel and his comrades boarded the ship Granma from Tuxpan port in Mexico. Three years back he was caught by General Batista for initiating an attack against his dictatorial regime. Later he was released from jail following a mass amnesty campaign.

Granma reached Las Coloradas beach on 2nd of December after a perilous journey through the Gulf of Mexico. The revolutionary war thus began and People of Cuba was liberated from the clutches of dictatorship.
