Well made and fits my mattress great and is comfortable for a great night sleep. I am very happy with the purchase of the mattress pad for my Queen Size bed. This mattress pad is thicker than some sofa bed mattresses. Actually, if you put this on a pullout or sofa bed mattress, you'd actually get a good nights sleep.Thanks HSN for another fantastic buy! I like this item. I did have one issue. All the individual tuffs and cells created to make it more comfy, actually made it less so for me. I already had some regular concierge waterproof mattress protectors. I put one on top the "super loft". I was able it tuck in. These pads and protectors have very deep sides for use on an array of mattress sizes and depths. There's no issue of it coming up or off during the night. Now my bed is super comfy. The individual cells were driving me crazy. The regular pad laying on top didn't take away from the comfort. I believe it added to it. Now I do not have all those individual tuffed squares driving me insane. It was comfort and torture at the same time( It's just me). So by taming the cells( so to speak) I added an additional layer of comfort for my bed.
My bed is super comfy now and so relaxing. My mattress is about 20 years old! This pad has made it feel brand new! I am getting a good nights sleep again. I would highly recommend this pad! We had decided to get a new mattress when I saw these. Decided to try one. Still have the same mattress but it feels like a new one! Won't be without one from now on. I will note, it's huge! You'll need a place to store it, we since bought an extra.. and we take it to the laundry mat to wash. We have the queen size. I received just what was described on TV. The product is soft and has sufficient padding to make a difference. It's not super big, but has enough to add comfort to your mattress. The Polish Goose down has a higher fill power at 800 compared to the Hungarian which has 650. The higher the fill power basically the fluffier the filling is which means it functions better therefore slightly less filling is needed so the quilt will be slightly lighter.Supreme QuiltsWhich Style Of Quilt Is Best? We get asked which style of quilt is best, alot. We recommend channel style quilts in the cotton japara range. Channel style quilts were some of the first feather and down quilts sold in Australia and for good reason. With Australia's diverse weather a quilt needs to be multi purpose. It needs to be ideal for Winter and Summer use. A channel quilt allows the user to adjust the warmth as needed all year round.
Simply push or shake filling dow...n for Summer and push or shake the filling back up again for Winter. The other benefit is if the quilt is too warm or not warm enough filling can be taken out to make it provide less warmth or filling can be added to make it warmer. In any quilt gravity will feed filling towards the end of the bed, if this happens in a channel quilt it once again is easy to push or shake the filling back again. While we sell boxed style quilts we generally dont recommend them. Boxed quilts dont offer any flexibility, if its too warm or not warm enough it cant be changed. When filling moves and it will, you cant push or shake it back again. How does filling move in a boxed quilt? When boxed quilts are made, they are made with a small gap, approximately 5-6cm wide that run down each row of squares. The gaps are there so filling can be blown into each square. Unfortunately because there are so many squares (as an example a king size has 56 squares), sewing each on off would be very time consuming if it were even possible to get a full fluffy quilt under a sewing machine.
As mentioned before, in any quilt gravity will feed filling towards the end of the bed. This wont change in a boxed quilt, it will still move, feeding through the gaps towards the end. Once the filling accumulates at the end you wont be able to push or shake it back again. This can happen within 3 months in some cases, basically leaving you sleeping under a sheet. To help keep filling in place better in any quilt we suggest to rotate it every 2 weeks. Usually when you change the quilt cover just flip the quilt over so the bottom of the quilt is at the top and the top is now at the bottom. This will not only create even wear it will also help prevent gravity playing its roll, it will help hold the filling in place better. There is no guarantee the filling wont move but it will help. This is not to say that some people that use boxed quilts have no problems what so ever, but if you want our expert advise combined with over 24 years of experience we recommend the channel quilt. Supreme QuiltsIf anyone tells you baffle boxed or boxed or boxed cassette holds the filling in place suggests they know very little about quilts. Baffle boxed or similar have small gaps between each square that run down each row of squares, they are there so the filling can be put into the casing to make the quilt, the trouble is with a super king there are 72 squares so sewing them is impossible, for one it would be too time consuming and two if it didnt take long the quilt wouldnt fit un...der the arm of the sewing machine. If you rotate or flip (every 2 weeks) any style of quilt it will hold the filling in place better, but no guarantee it wont move. We suggest a channel quilt, if the filling moves at least you can push or shake it back again, with a boxed quilt if it moves you cant move it back again.
