Here is a list of Frequently Asked Question (FAQ). Check this before asking for directly support.

1) Can the bot stop tracking me?

No, but you can avoid joining groups with the bot, so it can't track you. 

2) How does the bot work?

In a group it works automatically: when it detects a username or name changes, it sends a message to the group. In the private chat simply forward a message of that user that you want to check. 

3) Why is the bot not working?

If bot doesn't work properly in your group you have to:

- start it in private chat

- add it to your group

- type again /start (in your group) just to be sure

- now bot will work

Obviously if you already added it before doing this, firstly remove the bot and then try these steps.

4) I did all these things but bot still doesn't work, why?

Sometimes the bot sends the changes message with a little delay due to telegram bot server issues. Generally a delay can last from 1 hour to sometimes longer, it doesn't depend directly from the bot. Meanwhile you can use the info bot.

5) What are the bot commands?

All commands, except search_id, must be used replying a message if you are using them in your group.

/check_name shows you previous used names

/check_username shows you previous used usernames

/search_id <id> shows you the history of the person with that id

/get_link generates a link with that ID which you can reach that person even if he removes the username and leaves from your group.

6) Is bot GDPR compliant?

SangMata only needs to conform with telegram rules. Because of where headquarters and telegram servers are located, they don't have to conform or comply with the GDPR.
